The Heat have contacted Ron Artest and A.I.

Amid a cost-conscious approach to improving the roster this summer, the Miami Heat's attempts to upgrade through free agency apparently aren't being discounted.

Allen Iverson and Ron Artest are among a group of free agents who have been contacted by Heat president Pat Riley in the opening days of free-agency negotiations, league sources said Thursday.

Artest is going to Miami, so im not worried. I cant imagine signing AI would make their team any better.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

I don't get the interest in AI. While it won't affect next season's cap room drastically, Iverson is the definition of ball dominant. How will he and Wade coexist?

AI and Detroit: oil and water

AI and Denver: oil and water

AI and Miami? you be the judge

I still want him here because he has a good history of getting rid of coaches.

Finally. An explanation for interest in AI that I understand.
