Excellent response; thanks and as I read the headline, I thought that for Andersen to come here to Atlanta, he would want a starting role to increase his options going forward.
I don't see him as a big benefit even if he comes here. The game is not the same, and IMO, he hasn't played well in any of the limited games I have seen him in.
We can do just as well with another teams' backup, as long as it doesn't come with a large number.

I could careless about this player. He could have come over awhile ago when we needed the help and establish himself. I don't think he wanted to come over because we had a bad team. Now that we got a good team he doesn't want to come because he won't get his playing time. All signs of a primadonna if you ask me. If some team want to give up a few 2nds or a 1st then let them have him. Otherwise he can stay where he is and watch his so call dreams of the NBA completely diminish with each passing year.

This does however could help us keep Chill now assuming Chill ready to accept and admit he is a 6th man. It might have taken around $3 mil per to bring over the primadonna. Chill contract likely to start at around $5 mil per.

And people say that he really wants to come over and place blame on the Hawks. Here you have a guy who is after money and fame. He doesn't want to come over and be a role player, he wants to come over and either start or get starter minutes, then hope a team offers him a big deal.

Well given the accuracy of stories this time of year, I'm still waiting for the 15th for him to officially stay in Europe. When that happens (which is likely), it will hopefully be the last chapter of the Andersen Saga. Time flirting with him could be better spent looking for other bargains.

El Mundo Deportivo (no point in linking it, it's in Spanish) says the Hawks made him an offer, but not one he liked. He has asked Atlanta to trade his rights.

Trade him only if the Hawks get legit value for him. Otherwise he can stay in Europe. There is no reason to help him out when he has refuse to help the Hawks out.

Agreed. Why should the Hawks trade him if they are not going to get much of anything in return. If he doesn't want to come over, earn his keep in the nba, and help the team then eh can stay in europe.

I was thinking we should look into trading him for Robin Lopez from the Suns. It is not the legit value I spoke of. As a backup big man Robin would be nice to have. Also got 3 years left on his rookie contract before he become a RFA.

I doubt Phoenix would do it. David has basically shown that he has no intentions of coming over here and I can't imagine Phoenix moving a player like Robin Lopez for him. At best I think we can acquire a second round pick for him.
