Saw on the Suns board that Amare tweeted that he is having more eye surgery? I wonder if that's true. Glad we didn't trade for him.

I think its true. That was a bad injury. I would have been surprise if he only had one surgery on it. The guy is too much of a risk right now. If Suns give him a contract extension. They need to give him two years. Then if he proves he can stay healthy over the next 3 years then reward him with that big contract.

actually, i work for an eyecare facility where they treat stuff like Amare's injury. His injury was not that serious. I seriously doubt he is having another surgery. It should have healed long ago. they probably kept him off the court because they wanted him to take it easy, the exercise would have caused pressure in his eye and they probably didnt want that. Him sitting out as long as he did was more precautionary than necessary. the news even states that it was a minor injury

oh sorry that was about his first injury. the newer injury is a detached retina, but the same thing goes. Its not that big of an injury, as far as the eye goes. but I guess anything can have complications.

I think concern over the eye as well as the possibility that he can leave at the end of the year are conspiring to keep him in Phoenix. The rumor is they aren't receive very good offers for Amare.
