Which big would you guys like

Wilcox, Gooden, Tim Thomas, Petro, Melvin Ely, Theo Ratliff, Jamaal Magloire, Robert Swift, or other?

I would like anyone of these. I have them in order to which I like better. what do you think? seems like we have a few more options than I thought.

I'd take John Bryant and Diogu personally.

Chris Wilcox and Ike Diogu have been on my list since free agency started. Both provide us with size and two different types of skills.

I like the sound of Diogu and Wilcox. My other two choices are Swift and Wallace.

Wilcox would be my first choice, and maybe I’d take a look at Gooden if he is cheap. Josh Heytvelt would be also a good fit near Horford and Zaza.

I saw Swift in the Orlando summer league. He was terrible. Magloire and Ratliff are old, they don’t fit in this young, athletic team. Ely doesn’t fit neither.

Tim Thomas would be solid for the bench, if he accepts that role, and if he doesn’t goes after the money.

We already have our Starters bigs. and that is Horford and Smoove. All we need is a back up PF i think Gooden or Wilcox would be perfect and a third Center Magloire or Ratliff would do really well in that roll.

I would aign petro or Swift. If not, Wilcox.
And I would do so because we need a legit 7 footer who can defend and intimidate and is not a clone of a player we already have.
I do not see the point is signing Diogu, Gooden, Thomas or someone like that if we already have Smith (undersized PF), Horford (undersized C) and Pachulia (below average fisical conditions to play C).
So I just would get a player who can stand besides Horford and gives us a complementary role and not more of what we alreadt have. May be Thomas if you prefer a veteran who can manage playing short periods and be asked to provide quickly.

I really hope they don't sign Magloire. He'd be Lo Wright all over again.

I'd take the Lo Wright that we had.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Lo has been absolutely terrible since the Hawks signed him.

Gooden seems to be the pick of the litter.

A back up combo of Zaza and Gooden is a beautiful dream that could become a reality.

Ok, but if you talk about third big(center) you really don’t want to spend 1m+, which you have to in case you would like to sign Magloire or Ratliff (vet. min.). To fill the fifteenth spot I would go whit somebody for the minimum salary, an undrafted rookie like Heytvelt or Siler.

Wilcox would be just fine but i watched the second half of some of the Sixers games from last year and had to make sure that they weren't old tapes from 02-03 because Ratliff looked surprisingly agile on many a occasion last year. Wilcox>Gooden>Ely>Ratliff> insert name here.

Wilcox is by far the best option for this team in that he plays PF and C and has decent size/good athleticism. Petro would be my next option because of his size and athleticism, but he would be more of a C than PF. Gooden is interesting to me because he has produced good numbers in his time, but I fear he would leave us still wanting a C because he lacks size. Ely fits into the same mold as Gooden except he's better on the glass rather than scoring. Mags and Theo wouldn't be horrible, but I'd rather have some cheaper options like Siler or Heytvelt if they are just going to be a 3rd C.
