FINALLY. Sund gave David a chance and instead of keeping the circus going he moves him for some value.

I am glad he is gone. Thanks to Chill we get to continue this overseas crap. I am glad he is gone. It sucks all we got is a 2nd round pick. No telling when we get that.

They weren't going to get much else for him. He'll fit in nicely for the Rockets. He would've been a nice compliment to both Pachulia and Horford but probably wouldn't have received the playing time he would want. Plus my guess is Houston is probably willing to pay him more than 3 million. Can't see Atlanta offering him more money than what Pachulia got, especially since Pachulia is the better inside player.

It will clearly be Woodson's fault if Andersen plays well for the Rockets.

After hearing about him so long I am glad that we get to see what this guy can do even if it is in a different uniform.

The Rockets are in dire need of a big man. Could the draft pick be based on Andersen"s performance once he comes over here?
I for one am glad there is no more waiting to sign him to a MLE. He hasn't proven anything other than he wasn't coming to Atlanta.
TIme will tell what we get for him. We couldn't have expected much in the first place.

Now, let's focus on getting us a post man to help our fiontline. The roster should then be set.

Another solid move from Sund. I was getting tired of hearing about this guy not wanting to come over and play for us...good riddance.

Houston has the option to exchange second-round draft positions with the Clippers in 2011

Houston will receive a conditional 2011 second-round pick from Memphis

It appears he plans on signing a 2 year deal with an option for a third at 2.5 million per year. Link

Sort of interesting to see that Andersen was willing to sign for that amount. 2.5 million is a very reasonable contract. Sounds like the hawks were paid 2 million dollars for his rights.

Morey is solid. I can't really think of any bad moves he'd made since becoming GM. He has a good number of steals in Brooks,Landry,Scola,and Wafer....hopefully Andersen doesn't join that list.

Unless Sund uses the money to bring in a better big, it's a losing senario for the Hawks. I think Andersen will prove to be worth every penny of the money. Did we really need a future second? NO

Do we need the ASG to pocket $2M at a time when everything should be done to run this team to the top? NO.

Everyone knows that we need two more bigs on this team. Woody even said he expected to bring in two more bigs.

Why couldn't Andersen have been one of the bigs at a reasonable $2.5M. He is a proven commodity at the top euro level.

I don't get it and I don't think we'll find a better big for the price....and he was already ours.

I don't see Zaza earning more than the 18-20 minutes he 'e averaged over the last two season's, so there are deffinately minutes to be had.

So who is going to be our BIG ?

I expect Solomon Jones, Hunter, and Siler to be the backup bigs.

What was Sund suppose to do when David Andersen has said he won't play for us?

I expect you're right. Do you have any hope that they will improve the front-court from last year ?

I don't know what transpired between Sund and Andersen, but I can't understand why playing time would be an issue.

Smoove and Horf about 30, Zaza the 20 he's averaged the last two seasons, that leaves 16 minutes. If you slide Smoove to SF a few a game, every minute he plays there is another minute for Zaza or Andersen.

If Andersen is any good (especialy good enough to start for HOU), then why wouldn't he get about 25 on the Hawks ?
