Does this mean we have given up on Big Siler? I hope not. I wouldn't mind Collins but not at the expense of Silers spot.

I don't hate the idea of Siler but come on guys....there's a 99 % chance that he's bad. The odds of finding any unrestricted big man for the minimum who is anything but bad this late in free agency are low, but I'm guessing that Siler isn't even among the best of that group(David Harrison,Courtney Sims,Swift,Jon Bryant, etc) if he didn't even play division one basketball.

Yeah, there's a 99% chance he's bad at the moment... but what are the odds that he's still bad after 2 years of playing time or in the NBDL? I'd say it drops to 80% or so, which is enough for me to sign a 6'11, 305lb C for the minimum.

Not an impact to us....he won't be getting into the rotation ahead of Zaza and Joe Smith.

Let Siler go to the NBDL for 2 years and see if he can stay healthy. Similar to Adonal Foyle, who really never panned out until his last 2-3 years of being a bench level player.

Randolph Morris is the one who should be worried. He might not be wearing a jersey this year if he doesn't pick it up.

I doubt they'd cut Morris. There surely would be a team interested in trading for him, right? (Don't laugh).

I think the Pacers are picking up all the cheap big men they can and hoping one of them pans out.

I suppose we could probably trade Morris for a 2nd with some team, or package him with Evans for another 7th-8th man player, but it'd really be a sidegrade.
