2. 2004-05 Atlanta Hawks (13-69)

A bit of under-the-radar suck, 'ere. These Hawks lost a whopping 69 games by an average of 9.8 points per contest, and that's about as miserable as NBA seasons get. Par for the course, when you start Tyronn Lue(notes) and Kenny Anderson as much as you did (66 times), and let Antoine Walker(notes) launch over five threes a game despite shooting 31.7 percent. The reward for all that? Not Deron Williams(notes). Not Chris Paul(notes). But Marvin Williams(notes). Solid.

Ah yes, that year I had club seats. Good food and horrible ball. I still remember the Memphis game in particular, lowest real attendance I've ever seen at a pro event. I've always wondered if playing with Antoine Walker set Josh Smith's development back a few years.

Now that you mention it, that makes loads of sense.

That season was comically bad. I remember being down like 40 on opening night against I believe Golden St. and knowing that this was going to be one of the worst teams ever in Atlanta. I'm glad that all seems like a loooong time ago now.
