Potential team for Flip

Post#1 » by td00 » Fri Sep 18, 2009 7:01 pm

Hoopshype reporting that Denver is the location, depending on if Flip will take the league $1.1M minimum.
Sounds like he was looking for $1.99M but at this late stage, you get what you can get.

I am going to miss Flip. We really benefitted having him on our team last year.

It's pretty surprising to see that Flip may have to settle for the minimum considering the year he had. I don't know if it was a fluke,Woodson's system,or him putting in extra work with Mark Price-but last year was Flip's best year from an efficiency stand point by far. He was only shooting 41 percent from the field and 28 percent in 332 games prior to 2009. It will be interesting to see how he does next year.

Wow, so he possibly goes to the West? Nice! I'm just glad he stays out of the east and we'll only have to see him two times per year.

James White just got traded to Denver

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/chr ... 31489.html

Is it possible they got fed up with Flip asking for more money and are content with Afflalo and White holding down the SG spot until JR comes back or is he still in their plans?

Personally I think that bridge is burned considering White is much cheaper although untested and the team will have Chauncey playing some off guard with Anthony carter resigned and Ty Lawson in the fold too. Word was the Nuggets wanted to sign Bogans instead of Flip before the Spurs scooped him so chances are this trade is in response to that. :-?

Have no source on this but someone over on the Bobcats board said they were looking at him. Larry does enjoy always having 3 pgs on his rosters and Flip does have the added advantage of being able to back up the two where only Raja and the rookie is. :-?

I don't see that as a choice. We could have him in waiting should we lose JJ to injury.

Sounds like we will be content to go with West off the bench for those 'spurts' of defensive pressure.

Flip deserves better.

Looks like Flip really did sign with the bobkittens for the biannaul. Hope he doesn't whoop Crawful's a** too badly this season.
