He may not be LeBron James or Dwyane Wade, but Joe Johnson saying that he will not sign an extension with the Hawks before next season cannot be bad news for the Knicks. Johnson, 28, played for Mike D'Antoni for two seasons in Phoenix and is familiar with the Knicks' run-and-gun style. Johnson sounds like an ideal fit for D'Antoni and would be a good third option if the Knicks can't land James or Wade.

This is nothing but speculation & wishful thinking by the NY tabloids. But it is something that crossed my mind. I'm very excited to see how the next 10 months play out.
