Wow quite a spread. Considering the wide margins in the playoff series and that Miami lost by 13 at home to OKC it isn't surprising though. I hope we're focused because I fear Friday night's match up with Houston. Got to take the over and lay the points sticking with the Hawks. We need to maintain our home court especially within the division.

kind of a no pressure game. it is early in the season, Hawks already beat two very good teams, and if the Hawks lose this one, they will still have plenty of other opportunities to prove themselves against Miami

could be a blow out either way, just depends if Wade goes 20/5/5 or 40/10/5

I watched the second half of the OKC game and Miami didn't look good. They also needed a buzzer beating 3 to beat winless NJ recently.

I think they slightly peaked around the corner at this game, their problem is they can't afford to do that because depth is a sore spot and OKC is actually pretty decent this season. It proved to their detriment, you always want to win that game at home before going on the road against an Top level team. I think they bring it and give the Hawks a good game. Hawks win 103 - 95. Wade for 35 , Joe & Crawford combine for 47.

The Heat really don't like us after last year (I honestly could care less about that team). So I think they'll come out with energy tonight.

7 p.m. start time for this game. Should we expect more news articles to mention the empty seats?

I get in the HOV lane with a dummy doll in my passenger seat. When I park I will try to bring it inside the arena and fill a seat with it so the arena looks full at the tip.

I look forward to many Heat fans whining and crying about why they lose tonight. High comedy to listen to all their excuses last spring during the playoffs. I"m staying away from this game on the friendly wagering side of things. 8 seems like a very reasonable spread, and the over under is hard to predict with Miami. I'd guess Miami covers and so does the over, but I'm not touching it.

Anyways, bring on the excuses Miami!

That point spread is too high.

The Heat's last 2 games have been uninspiring...but I expected this to be the Hawks toughest game of the home stand and still do. This kind of reminds me of that Boston game in the middle of our 1st big homestand last year. I'm not saying Miami is as good as last year's Boston team-but I can't imagine them coming out flat and just laying down like they did to OKC. I see this one going down to the wire.

Smith is going to be below 50% from the line before long.

Our bench has killed us again at the start of the 2nd for the 3rd straight game.

The bench play has not impressed me lately.

JJ finding the range finally.

Nice coast to coast play by Smith.

Interior defense...offensive flow...and turnovers couldn't be much up to this point.

This is alot of fun to watch. I wish they could play with this same energy vs the Bobcats,Hornets(this years version),and Pacers of the world.

The Hawks are actually hitting some jumpers tonight which makes things a lot easier.

Watching them last night the Heat just seemed like they were playing with no heart. you'd never know they were 7-3 coming into this game.

Just saw the ESPN highlights of our game during halftime of Cleveland-Washington. Their coverage is just terrible Their highlights consisted of a runner from Joe and gave the cliche Joe Johnson is "underrated comment, Wade's dunk which was the only thing he did all half, a Joe Smith basket where they referred to him as Josh Smith, and then Smoove's dunk on the crazy alley from Bibby (the only one that actually belonged in the package).
