Wow that is a serious blockbuster. i don't even know what to say but it certainly seems fair.

I would rather eat my own feces than cheer for Vince Carter.

i agree..... Wow is the appropriate term

first of all, the Hawks are winning, so i don't know why the Hawks would ever consider on making such a blockbuster trade that doesn't involve Lebron, Wade, or Paul

second of all, ATL and ORL are in the same division, it is very very rare for rivals to help each other out.

third of all, even though alot of ATL outsiders want to see Horford at PF.... the whole Horford/Josh experiment has actually been working. doing this trade will ultimately mean cutting either Josh's or Horford's minutes, and with these two guys looking to get major consideration at all star reserves, i don't see why any fan would want to see that.

lastly, Nelson and Gotrat are not that much better than Bibby and Zaza. but because of Joe's age, his value is way way highter than Carter. so the trade makes the Hawks worst as a team, and gets back less in talent.

their is no reason for the Hawks to make such a trade from any perspective

I think I'd probably do this trade. Gortat is an upgrade over Zaza, Bibby/Nelson is a push, and a chance to get rid of JJ's ballhogging ass? Yes please.

The age card goes both ways, Bibby isn't exactly a youngster himself.

Sounds more like a lateral move for both teams though. I doubt they will move that many guys around especially within the division with probably very little to gain.

Really? I would cheer for Vince even insincerely. It beats eating a pile of smelly poop. But to each his own I suppose.

This is a fair trade but VC only has a few season's left. Since we have such a young core I'd stick with Joe for now.

I really like this trade, but because we would be getting an older go-to player and because we are winning right now, I would have to pass. Still a good trade though, maybe in the offseason if we have to S&T Joe.
