The Wizards aren't going to accept that.

Listening to Rick Sund on the radio yesterday, he doesn't sound like he is interested in doing anything of significance during the season.
He does admit he does talk during this time of the season, but he is not interested in moving any of his roster.
I know you can't take an interview verbatim, but Sund is known for offseason activity, especially contract negotiations with JJ and Woody.

The problem is that the Hawks did their "deadline" trade in the offseason when they gave up all their expiring contracts for Crawford. Now the only expiring contracts they have are Joe and Minimum salary players- it makes it ridiculously difficult to tweak the roster. As an example I'm not sure that the Hawks have the pieces to get Kwame Brown unless they give up Teague.

If there was a trade it would be a minor tweak not sending 2 rotation players and 2 bigs for 1 starter. kb is right about not having the assets to do anything of merit trade wise.

I'm still hoping the Hawks can sign a veteran who's bought out after the trade deadline.

Another 6'8"-6'9" PF? Sure, why not? We can play Jamison at SF. Let's play Smoove at PG while we're at it.

Furthermore, Jamison's productivity would take a hit because he would no longer get to play against Atlanta which is when he normally pads he rebounding stats and points with near-career highs.
