Small ATL/ DET and big SAC/ ATL

Post#1 » by FCNATL85 » Wed Feb 10, 2010 5:16 am

Big Ben for Collins + Rights to Cent Akyol or future 2nd

then ATL turns to SAC and offers Bibby + Zaza + Morris + 10 1st and 11 st for T. Evans and Thomas (exp)
that gives room to resign Chill over the summer and ship him West for good value or cap space and 1st 10, and more flexibility to resign Joe and Al later.

T.Evans- Jamaal- Teague
JJ- Jamaal - Rio
Marv- M.Evans
Smoothe- Smith- Thomas
Al- Ben- resign Morris after waived by SAC

ATL can use 1st coming from West Coast team on SF or C over the summer.

I would fast for a month if this had a chance of happening. It has no chance though. A for effort. Evans has WAY to much potential.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

What's the point of making hypothetical trade proposals in which you are clearly ripping the other team off from a talent and financial perspective? Do you expect people to discuss the pros and cons of fantasy trades that have absolutely no downside what so ever?

Wow, daydreaming I see. Tyreke Evans is reasonably unattainable and even Kenny Thomas's expiring contract is actually desirable around the league right now. Spare parts and late draft picks wouldn't get it. Sacramento wouldn't give up a rookie Tyreke Evans for Joe Johnson right now. I firmly believe that even if Joe wasn't expiring.

I like the first trade, but I don't think the bounty is enough for Detroit to give up a cherished veteran on a retirement tour unless Big Ben begged to go to a contender. Actually he'd have to specify us, because he's at veteran minimum and could probably work out a similar trade or better with destination of his choice. If Detroit got a first for the rental of Wallace they might have trouble refusing.

I like the first one. Bring Ben Wallace here and the Hawks second unit will be much better.

Why would the Pistons do that first trade? You have to give them something they actually want.

I've got some better trades... How about Bibby for Rondo, Marvin for Lebron, Zaza for Howard, and Joe Smith for Bosh.

These trades would benefit the Hawks in that with a lineup of Rondo, Joe, LBJ, Smoove, and Howard we have a chance to do well in the playoffs. It might make us one of the favorites to win it all. If we are lucky, we might get these teams to agree to take on some of the salaries too so that we don't have to expand our payroll that much.

Our bench would be pretty decent too with Al, Jamal, and co.

I know that there would be some resistance to the 2nd.
Ben for Collins and past 2nd and future 2nd. What Detroit has to lose? except gaining 2 2nd rounds...

T. Evans + Thomas for Bibby + Zaza + Teague and 1st 10 and 1st 11...SAC will have to think about it, at least. Zaza makes up for Thomas long term, bigger, younger, cheaper, better.
Bibby- Teague and 2 1st. SAC will have to consider...

T. Evans - Jamaal - FA
JJ- Jamaal- Rio
Marvin- M. Evans- O.Hunter (resigned)
Smoothe- J. Smith-Thomas
Al - Ben- Morris

Sacramento would rather have Thomas than Zaza and its not close.

Sacramento would rather have Evans than Bibby, Teague, and 2 late first rounders and its not close.

IF Detroit wanted to trade Ben Wallace they could do better than a late second round pick and the rights to someone no one wants and its not close.

Again, Ben Wallace is playing in Detroit because he wants to. He's playing for vet minimum because he was bought out of a much larger contract. If he wants traded or released from Detroit to join a contender he would ask for that. If you are approaching Detroit for a trade you would either have to give them a young asset with upside or a future 1st to get them to even think about it. You do that, they might go to Ben and try to sell him on the idea of finishing out his career elsewhere. If it isn't something that Ben wants to do they wouldn't do it. If they tried to trade him against his will he could just retire. They may not have much to lose, but 2 2nd isn't much to gain either.
