RealGM Trade Fantasia Article

Post#1 » by evildallas » Thu Feb 11, 2010 5:53 pm

In an article proposing deadline trades that benefit both teams, a RealGM writer proposes trading Josh Smith for Chris Kaman and gives an argument for why it would be the thing to do.

Read story here

It's at the end of the article.

Simple yes/no poll, I figure people can explain their reason in the comments.

I voted "No" because I'd like to see the Hawks work a three-headed post rotation with Smith, Horford, mysterious 3rd big (true center) before trading Smith straight-up.

I'd offer some combination of Marvin, Zaza, Teague, 1st rounder, expirings next summer to get that big man. (Perkins is the one I want).

I voted "No" as well. While Kaman has broken out this season, I remember his injury history with fear. Just last summer Kaman was the guy they seemingly couldn't move because of his contract/health ratio.

If I'm the Clippers I stay away from the deal as well because he argues about moving Josh to the 3 when Blake Griffin comes back. Any plan that plays Josh out of the 4 slot wastes a lot of his skill.
