Would Mike Conley be a fit here?

This is probably a long shot, but could we improve ourselves there for the long run?

I like the thought (because Conley has improved his outside shot so much) but the rumor is that they want a 1st and an expiring contract back. We don't have a contract to match to do a deal now.

I wonder if they would consider Evans, though. They need depth on the wing...

I think Conley makes ALOT of sense for the Lakers if he's available.

It'd take Evans plus Collins, something like that (financially, that is).

Conley would fit great with Smoove, Horford and Marvelous; not so great with Joe.

He essentially spends a lot of possessions hanging on the perimeter watching Rudy, ZBo, OJ and then Marc go one on one and has become very efficient with catch and shoot opportunities so he would work just as well with Joe. He does get the green light to run the ball if he sees an opening so yea, he would actually be great for us pushing tempo or spotting up.

Well, if we are going to make a serious playoff run, we need to bring in a new piece or 2 to help us with our deficiencies against Cleveland, Orlando and Boston.
Yes, we have played well against Boston, but we still need to neutralize Rondo.
To me, Memphis is not asking for alot for Conley especially if it is a late 1st rounder. I see it as a doable and it gives us insurance should Bibby struggle down the stretch.
Conley, to me, fits our team as he can push and can run a 1/2 court offense. If you see Memphis rumoring to improve by dealing even Mayo, they need to improve to just make the playoffs.
We need to improve simply because Cleveland has, and teams on the top are interested in bringing back those guys who are traded then waived, creating insurance for them in the postseason.
I don't see the Hawks making that kind of a move for the stretch. But they should, even if it takes a higher salary agreement to get them here.
A longer run in the playoffs, more payoff long term.

Who would you guys bring in without messing with your chemistry and/or lineup?

Lame rumor. Other than being silly talent-wise. Mario can't even be dealt yet as he was a recent signing.

I would kick my own nuts through my body if this trade happened.
