That was a fun team to watch and to root for. That defense suffocated the league.

If Corbin provided us with a little more punch, that team could have done serious damage. An aging Nique in his place would have done the job.

Those guys were proven veterans with a clear ceiling, especially with Jordan back in Chicago. There were no "movable parts" in that team: everyone had their role.

That bench was nice too: Alan Henderson was a good big man (pre injury), Jon Barry (offense) and Stacey Augmon (defense) were both good at what they did.

With that being said, I like our 2010 team better. I wish we bottled up our energy from December and unleashed it in May. We were DESTROYING teams back then. We need to find that spark.

Individually, the comparisons favor this year. Smith >>> Laettner, Williams >> Corbin, Johnson > Smith. Mookie was light years better than Bibby. Deke and Horford are even, with a slight edge to Dikembe.

you can't be serious. Deke was a DPOY. In his first two years as a Hawk he averaged 13.3/11.5 with 3.3 blocks. He was easily better than Horford.

That team was definitely better. They won 56 games this team has never cracked 50 or even won a 2nd round playoff game.

Mookie at the point, end of discussion..lol! Seriously, pg's hated to play against mook. I remember after they played the bulls in the playoffs, and MJ stated that he was happy the series was over because mookie was causing havoc on defense. Dik was a terminator at center, the finger wave was classic!
