Anyone know if JJ is playing?
Either way this is a must win. Boston starts a 3 super tough 3 game road trip.

Lets all agree not to post anything during the 4th quarter whether we are winning or losing.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Joe's considered a game time decision was the last I heard. If he's healthy great, but if he needs more time to make sure he's good to go for the post-season then I would continue to sit him. I don't consider it a must win. It's a nice to have win especially if we wind up playing them in the playoffs, but it's highly unlikely that we fall lower than 4th or rise higher than 3rd regardless of outcome of this one. The difference in 1st round opponents isn't great and we've not had great luck against Cleveland or especially Orlando so the difference in potential round 2 opponents isn't tremendous either. Health and focus are the most important things to line up for the playoffs. Our strengths and our warts aren't likely to change any. I wouldn't risk health to finish 3rd at all costs. The benefits aren't there. If we get close to losing home court in round 1, I'll start throwing around the must-win moniker myself.

having a healthy and rested JJ for the playoffs is definitely the primary concern. if he is questionable i say sit him out.

Even though a loss would obviously be much more likely it gives other guys a chance to get their offense in gear. The opposing teams are sure to focus heavily on JJ in the playoffs.

Remember that if we end up tied with Boston we have the tiebreaker.

The Hawks can't finish tied with Boston and get the better seed. The tie breaker goes to the team that won their division.

Hawks guard Joe Johnson will play Friday night against Charlotte after missing the last two games with tendinitis in his Achilles tendon.

Johnson practiced with the team Friday morning at the team’s shootaround at Philips Arena. Johnson said his Achilles had been bothering for the last month and a half or two months.

“I just felt it was time for me to get a little rest off of it and try and let it heal up a little bit,” he said.

Johnson said he won’t limit his minutes on the floor against the Bobcats. In his absence, the Hawks beat New Jersey but lost at Toronto Wednesday night on a last-second basket.

“It’s going to be good to get back out there with the fellas and start us a new streak,” he said.

More to come later.

This is a game I expect the Cats to come out much stronger than they did last time they were here, we are the better team though, even with the 4th qtr meltdowns. I still think we are the favs to get the 3rd seed in the East, Boston has a lot of tough games left, anyway, if we keep losing to teams like the Raptors, that will make thing a lot tougher.
GO HAWKS.

It's time to win another meaningless game at home against an inferior opponent!!! Can't you feel the excitement?!

 @ this "inferior opponent" business. The hawks are only a few games over .500 since Christmas.

  Its a potential first round match up and the Bobcats match up extremely well against the hawks, or are you too near sighted to see that?

I forgot that Theo was still in the league. He used to get dunked on all the time in ATL.

Halfway through the 3rd quarter and Smith has no defensive rebounds.

The Hawks have to be the worst team in the league with the shot clock off.

The bobcats are shooting 100% on desperation shots at the end of the clock.

Jackson missing those free throws were big. That wasn't even a foul to start with.
