Moving assets with MIN and LAC

Atl:
Trades Bibby, Zaza, S&T Childress+ Morris, 1st 10
Gets Kaman, Rubio, Hollins

Min:
Trades Jefferson, S &T Rubio
Gets: B.Davis, Zaza, LAC 1st 10

LAC:
Trades B. Davis, Kaman, 1st 10
Gets: Bibby, Jefferson, Childress, Morris, ATL 1st 10

other picks to be added here and there if needed.

why it works for ATL:
moving Bibby and getting something back for Chil is a plus. Most importantly we solidify our 2 weakest position at 1 ( letting Teague and Rubio fight for the minutes, still having JC as on option)and 5. Hopefully, that could play in Joe resigning here.

Rubio-Teague- JC
JJ (R) - JC- Mario (R)
Marvin- Evans (R) or Outlaw
Smith- Al- Joe Smith (R)
Al- Kaman- Hollins

why it work s for MIN:
Moving disgrunted and playing out of position Jef. Making room for Love to fully develop his game. Getting something for Rubio and now having 2 lottery picks. Evans/Aldrich?

Davis- Flyn- Sessions
Evans-Brewer-Ellington
Gomes-Brewer
Love- Zaza
Aldrich- Zaza- Milicic? (R)

why it works for LAC:
Moving Davis and Kaman (who is not happy there) and who wants to win.
Getting an experienced PG with Bibby and young talent in return for Kaman and 1st ( Chil, Jef, 1st ATL). LAC may want to get one of MIN early 2nd? #32 or #25?

FA or Collins (25) - Bibby- Brown
Gordon - Childress
FA -Robinson (24)- Childress
Griffin- Jefferson
Jefferson- Jordan- Alabi (25) or FA

Thoughts?

MIN is going to say that Jefferson and Rubio are worth too much for that trade and that NO ONE wants Baron Davis.

ATL and LAC scream, "Where do we sign?"

I wish we could pull this off... but there is no way Minnesota is trading away Rubio and Jefferson for Zaza and Barron Davis and LAC 1st round pick. NO WAY! What are the Clippers going to do with 2 PFs... Griffin and Jefferson?

Awesome trade from the hawks perspective though... but not likely.

This is absurdly in favor for us.

Think of it this way: if we offered "Bibby, Zaza, S&T Childress+ Morris, 1st 10" for Kaman, would LAC agree? I'm not so sure. Adding in all the rest makes the deal even more unlikely.

If it is such a good trade from the hawks perspective, what else would you be willing /is needed to be trwon in to make it work?
ATL 1st 11 to LAC?

^Nothing. Jefferson is the best player in the deal and Rubio has great potential. Remember, he was considered maybe the 2nd-best prospect in the draft. For that, MIN gets a backup C in Zaza, a 1st-round pick and they get saddled with Baron Davis? You're saying LAC's pick is so good it's worth losing Jefferson and Rubio AND taking on a terrible, terrible contract? PLUS, you put protection on the pick?

Do NOT take this to the MIN board. You're a good poster and I'd hate to see what they'd do to you.

Maybe if you swapped out Childress with Smith it's worth looking at for Minnesota.

Sure, we'll give you Joe Smith. Done deal, right?

I understand that but so far they are getting nothing for Rubio...just like we are getting nothing for Chill (#6 pick at a certain time). Jefferson and Love will not work out well together...at least I think.
What should we add to that deal to make it sweeter?

^It's not as simple as what WE need to add; LAC comes off too well, also. Baron Davis is a money pit. No one - at all - will take on that contract for a player who is probably finished by injuries. The question would be what we and what the Clippers would need to add.

And Bibby is - sort of - the same for us. His contract is going to be hard to move, although it's not as bad as Davis'.

We could possibly offer Childress for Rubio; MIN might like that since they're not doing so well at SF.
We could possibly offer Bibby, Zaza and a 1st for Kamen. The fans seem to want him gone but I can't speak for their management.

I will do you a favor and not mention this post around the Timberwolves forum.
