Guys, I'm convinced that the problem with Marvin Williams is getting shots.
the last three game with Joe out of the lineup I noticed Marvin stepping up
big time. I beleave in the future if we can get an defencive center (Solomon Alabi who may be there when we draft) and slide josh over to the small foward ( just to start the game) and bring Marvin and Crawford in together with the second unit would make us better next year

Re: Future marvin oft the bench
I think Marvin is best as a roamer, like a free safety in football. He seems to me like kind of an instinctive player, and in a system he tends to get lost. He's actually our most versatile player, so I'd really like him to see more minutes, especially with the bench unit.
Teague
Crawford
Marvin
Joe Smith
Zaza
And please, for god sake, let Teague handle the ball. Lord knows he needs the confidence, and if Craw handles it, Teague's never going to get the ball.

Marvin's biggest problem is JJ. You will see that next year, take my words.

Marvelous plays much better when Joe's out but I don't think Joe's the problem; Woodson is. Joe is only doing what his coach tells him, namely to go one-on-one against the world. I honestly think Woodson is telling Joe to be the man.
Watch the next time Joe starts pounding the ball into the floor: you'll see Marvelous standing in the far corner on the right side. That's his "place" in our "offensive scheme."

My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Marvin being a role player is why I believe he gets lost, but if he had a more significant role on offense, I believe he would produce very good numbers. He ranks 5th on our team in FG attempts and the last three seasons I have said I would like to see his attempts increase.
