I haven’t googled to verify but the last time I remember the Celtics playing the Hawks in the first round it was 2008 - the year we won the title….

That series was supposed to be a bit of a cakewalk, but it was a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

Hawks got heaps of offensive rebounds, need to keep Capela off the glass. We aren't great at that, hopefully TimeLord is up for the playoffs.

Cs #1 in defensive rebounding. But they do have moments of unfocusedness and laziness. And when Rob is healthy, it’s less of a concern. Would also play Griffin over Kornet if need be. He brings hustle and energy inside.

Man, I want to fleece ATL for Trae. Trae would be perfect on this team. Preferably if we can have both Js still. Trae playmaking and a third option- 20 and 10

He’s a gamer. You can mask guards on defense, that shouldn’t even be a worry on our team. This team has desperately always needed better dribble penetration and playmaking. He’d fit like a glove

We also beat them in the 1st round in 2012.

And I have no memory of this lol but apparently the Hawks beat us in 2016 when we had IT and Horford was still a Hawk.

I went to the Saturday night game in Atlanta, remember how much I really liked that kid Horford. We lost and the series went to 7 but everything turned out ok in the end.

Haha I was just browsing through the Heat game thread for this one. Before it started they were super stoked about how the Hawks had nothing for them and Jimmy was going to dominate and they were going to give the Celtics trouble in the 1st round.
