Sorry didn't have time to read if mentioned.. But by hope, is that offseason??? I think young Silas has a wealth of coaching knowledge with his experience and of course his father. Clearly not a good situation for him as a HC of young guys Houston had, but as an Asst.. I would be all in on him..

Even for NOW!
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

I said in another thread it seems like he was already informally on staff. Wouldn’t hurt to just bring him on now to replace some of the experience Mouse brought

Might as well; bring him on now.
There's nothing barring them from adding an Assistant Coach now, is there?

Edit:
I mean, we still have 2 months left of this Season.

Not that I’ve ever seen, to be honest but I also can’t recall a time a coach was added during the playoffs. That’s a good question.

I've never heard of anyone adding an assistant coach in the middle of the playoffs.

I wouldn't think you'd want to disrupt the rhythm, the flow that all of our players and coaches are in. Why introduce this new guy, a new voice now - then we have this learning curve of players getting to know him, him getting to know the other players (and the other coaches) all of this first day of school type of stuff, happening in the middle of the playoffs.

I'm guessing that if he does join the team, it wouldn't be till next season.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Looks just like his Dad.

His Dad was awesome guy.

Why? What did he did in Houston. I get they were a bad team, low on talent. But they never improved.

bring him to just handle the out of timeout plays - as it seems that Joe doesn't have a clue
otherwise, he will sit at the far side quietly and listen and learn
