You know I wanted to mention this. I know it won't go over well with the short attention span Xbox/Playstation ballers but D stays around. you can miss your shots but the hustle on D never leaves you. If you commit. Way back early season when the Celts were setting offensive records I wasn't all that impressed. I mean I said wow of course, but then I noticed they were scoring bunches of points but also giving up bunches of points. That always bothered me in the back of my mind. Well here we are now with no D AND no O and what do you have? A goddamn slaughter. Embarrassment. Shame. Can't ever remember seeing a Celts team like this, in general and especially last night.

I saw blink-182 last night and those boys put in more effort at the garden than the Celtics do most nights there.

Blink is one of my all time favs!

Like me, they needed some good ol’ smacking in the face to wake up to reality.

But I’m sure they already had an idea that there was something off. The winning was able to conceal the flaws and red flags entire season.

Favorites to win it all even before the ASB, with the easiest possible path to the Finals after Round 1 developments, in a season filled with 'historic' performances, 'rarefied air' stats & advanced stats, and player accolades...

Now down 0-3 to the 8th seed that many scoffed at and dismissed as undeserving of the wariness by which they were viewed by some... A rag-tag bunch of scrubs & washed-up vets, propped up only by Bam (who was supposed to be neutralized by our fearsome volume 3-pt shooting), Butler & Spo (who are both claimed to be overrated)...

It was supposed to be a clear mismatch against what was arguably the best 7 (or 8) man core in the league (with the accolades to prove it), with a deep bench that can overachieve, and a young CoTY finalist...

Yet here we are... Un-freaking-believable.

Though many players in the NBA are way overpaid, just the idea of paying this man 300 million is comical to me. Yeah I know people say what's the alternative. My answer is to do your due diligence and find anything that remotely gives Boston Good "fits' and assets in return.

At least I will get to “enjoy” watching two well coached and cohesive teams in the Finals.

I know you are being somewhat facetious here but I actually think the Denver and Miami finals will be a great one. The genius of Spoelstra vs the genius of Jokic. I think Miami is going to give Denver all they want. I think it has the potential for an alltime great series. Hopefully it delivers. I love watching basketball when it’s played correctly. It CAN be a beautiful sport.

Bump. Never underestimate Erik Spoelstra. Great adjustments. Can’t stand the Heat but they are a very well-coached team.
