If there was a perfect time to trade Smart, it was this year.

The value the Cs got for Smart was great.

Brad traded a guard for a quality big man and Brad got 2 1st round picks in the process.

Smart was very good this year, but opposing teams intentionally leaving him open and his questionable decisions really hurts the Cs in crunch time.

Think about it, would the Nuggets win a chip if they had Smart instead of Murray?

Or will Steph have 4 rings if he had Smart instead of Klay?

A quality 1st and a 2nd, more like.

Well, a net of 3 2nds, but he shipped out Muscala who cost 2 2nds not long ago.

Last year people would laugh if you said Smart will get us a quality big man and 2 1st round picks.

What Brad did after getting the 25th pick is a different story from what haul he got from trading Smart.

If the Cs are not after the 5m MLE, I'm sure Brad would not have traded that 25th pick for 2nd round picks.

If we also lose grant and only get 1 year of kp is is absolutely horrible

Agreed but I think we’ll have a solid shot at keeping him. This is seemingly the best position he’s been in to win.

Not sure I understand the question, but while I loved Marcus I like the trade that happened more than the LAC version.

Same with me. The question is little confusing. I would have done exactly what Stevens did. Time for Smart to go. We all know he shouldn’t start, and his ego will not accept a bench role, so letting him go is perfect
