So do you trade him for dame or go into the season and hope someone else shakes free?

I could see Embiid being unhappy soon

Wow

FWIW they do have all off season and he’s currently speaking at some New Orleans festival (he posted it on IG) could just be waiting on that to end

True, but you think no matter how important the event, 300 million dollars is a little more important.

So all that talk of the Celtics wanting to stick with the Jays long term was just all bark and no bite?

No. They are likely very much on the same page. Why would they need to rush it?

From Himmelsbach

Sounds like hesitation on both sides.

Perhaps there's a chance JB gets traded for Dame. Or Trae. Or Giannis. Or Embiid.

:)

Or Garland

you're confusing the need for the fans to see something happen right away with it having to be done right away. the importance of money vs the event isn't a factor because they can agree at any time.

with all that said, Brad, ship or get off the pot!

Hmm, let's see. Bones Hyland was a role player who was decent but not that good in Denver. Bones whined and complained about playing time, asked for a trade. Goes to clippers. They barely played him. Clippers then get bounced in the 1st round.

Bones Hyland whining about his role on the Nuggets when he led the team in usage (yes you read that right he actually had a higher usage than Murray and Jokic) is one of the funniest thing to happen in the NBA in the last few years. Him being shipped off to the Clippers right before Denver wins a championship is the definition of karma. Also not entirely a coincidence.

Dame: 10th in the league in BPM this season
JB: 66th in the league in BPM this season

Yeah let's revisit that in 3 years when Dame is nearly 40 and Brown has hit his prime.

I'm not impressed with the career loser score first PG. They're both super expensive. But one is old, has never been a winning player and will not improve

I don't feel strongly either way, but Dame is locked in for a while at less than 60 mil per and a guard, a wing, and a big is a better balanced big 3 then two wings and a big.

I have no idea what Houston is doing. It looks like they are trying to do everything, all at once.

There are going to be some bargains available, the way some of these teams are accumulating and spending. Garuba is gone, and they drafted Cam Witmore. If he pans out maybe Tari Eason shakes loose. Rockets could make the playoffs or bust.

They're like OKC, tons of picks and players coming in and out.

Feels like the Hawks the last year they had cap space. Just threw money at everything they could

Brad plays it like he's going to keep his job for the next five years. A lot of these teams seem to just throw things at the wall and hope it's art.

I’ve heard from a reliable source that this tweet relates to discussions Ainge has been having with the Sacramento Kings to acquire DeMarcus Cousins for five unprotected first round picks.

Since apparently the Clips still want Brogdan:

Portland: Morris, timelord, Pritchard, Batum, Warriors FRP, future Celtics FRP, 4 seconds, one FRP from the Clips

Boston: Dame

Clippers: Brogdan

Portland sheds salary, gets all the picks and gets a few young guys. Salary filler guys as needed to smooth out the numbers.

The event to me means nothing.

Kyrie met with the Lakers Suns and Mavs within an hour of free agency. How does that happen? Well it doesn’t lol. He made up his mind many flat moons ago when he got inside info from these teams that they were not going to go the extra mile.

So it’s a little shocking that Jaylen and Brad didn’t have something ready to go at 12:01

I’m not saying he will be traded just not shooting it down either
