White struggled and has not been the same since coming back. It will take him a while adjusting to a new born.

Struggled shooting but everything else he was doing was pretty sound in my book. He recognized that the shot wasn't falling and didn't force the issue and still contributed everywhere else. Heck, he still ended up a +14 on a very very closely contested game.

While Al looks brutal offensively, let’s not ignore that he’s been one of the best defensive players in the league so far.

If he has to choose which end to expend his energy, we’d all want it to be defensively.

When Horford is subbed in for Porzingas with the starting lineup the defensive rating has been 122 and offensive rating 75. He has been brutal at times on both ends. There have been times where he has been targeted by quicker players and I’m not used to seeing that. I hope and still expect that he has one really good season left - like Paul Pierce in Washington - and that by playoffs he can be closer to the guy he’s been the last 2 years. The early returns are concerning because as great as KP has been, we have no idea if he can match the physicality of the later playoff rounds the way Al always had. In fact, I have a pretty good idea he can’t when you see our coaches putting Holiday on guys like Randall and Embiid so regularly.

Nah, I’ll trust the numbers instead of what you’re seeing, his defense has been really good.

Al just looked at last year and realised he had it backward. This year he’ll be offensively gross in the RS and then be a mid 40s percent 3 shooter in the playoffs at decent volume attempts while remaining a defensive stud.

It's was 91-88 with under 8 mins left in the game. Tatum scored or assisted 18 of Cs last 23 points. He made 4 straight threes after going 1/8. The entire Knicks team scored 10 points during that span. That's how you lead and put away a team.

Remember when Jayson Tatum started seasons cold from the field, and we said 'just wait til Tatum's shooting %s normalize?'

Same here. But honourable mention to Brown, who kept the dumb to a minimum and moved the ball almost like a team-oriented player. Hopefully this is the beginning of a trend and not just his answer to the compliments he received from KP.
