A slight variation would've gotten JB a far corner three. I feel like we've seen this set from Stevens or Kerr before.

EDIT:

Of course big difference being the Hornets were expecting a three.

The one underrated thing about Kornet is he gets his hands on a lot of potential offensive boards. He just doesn't grab them.

If you subscribe to The Athletic read todays article about Ime and then compare how he coaches to how Joe coaches. There’s no “ I love you” BS like Joe. Ime gets on guys and stays on them. Tatum and Brown both need a constant boot up their ass to keep them focused. Otherwise they drift and don’t play the right way.

It's revisionism to say we played the right way all the time under Ime. If anything we went heroball mode more often and made dumb mistakes all the time. Are we already forgetting that we committed 107 turnovers in the ECF against the Heat? Or letting an 11 point lead in game 7 evaporate within a couple of minutes so that the game came down to Jimmy Butler missing an open three?

Only solution I can see so they won’t get lumped together is to trade one of them. Wadjutink?

Obviously a talent gap but they'll be lumped together as long as they're both on the Celtics. Lazy lumping is different though...

12/10/2 per 36 with an .816TS%, overall +/- an +11.9, top 5 net +/- on the team.

He could be a little better on the boards but Kornet is slandered much more than he is deserved around here.

If he actually had hands attached to his upper limbs he would be an excellent rebounder.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Brown's too bulky. He's packed on too much muscle and there is no fluidity in his handle or shot.

The number of airballs he puts up is insane for an NBA player, let alone a max contract guy.

The minute he feels the pressure and tenses up in a game his physical fundamentals go out the window.
