If not, he was looking at a minimum contract as a 3rd stringer.
Just wondering.
I think he was just getting offered the minimum contract/3rd stringer role for most teams with the potential to play his way into the rotation (or be next man up in case of injury). Him falling out of the OKC playoff rotation I don't think did him any favors on the open market, despite how obviously deep that team was.
I'm still surprised he didn't latch on with somebody though. I would have thought at least a third of the league would take him for essentially nothing as depth: Lakers, Sixers, Knicks, Nuggets, Mavs, Clippers, Bucks, Heat, Suns, Kings, Warriors. Think he got a taste for what it'd be like as a end of the bench vet with OKC and didn't like it, which is fair enough.
I wonder if things may change if a team out there gets desperate for wing help. He's still got a bit left in the tank (averaged 10/4/3 with good shooting splits in 25 minutes a game).
