I have to ask though why did it take overtime to beat a Clippers G league team?

I expect everybody’s answers by the morning

Because this team over the last 6 weeks has been playing lazy ball and is being poorly coached. There is a reason why average players like Derrick Jones goes off on us. It's because the team comes out and plays no defense and gives guys open looks. Clippers scored about 20 points in the first 6 minutes of the game. Once a guy makes his first shot like Derrick Jones did, it got his confidence going.

There is no sense of urgency for this team right now. That is kind of to be expected because last season they had a long season on their way to a championship. What is not to be expected is a coach of a championship team to not make adjustments. When Joe sees some of his players not giving effort, he should sit them. Put in guys off the bench that are hungry. He finally did that in this game by inserting Springer. Without Springer, this was a loss.

First game I've missed all season where I didn't at least catch it later that night. Sickness been going around the house again and I didn't watch a single second of this late game, just highlight clips this morning. Love a good comeback story though so will definitely be watching on League Pass before the Lakers game tonight. I'm sure my fiance will love to learn we're watching back to back celtics games after my son's game tonight!!

Great game by Springer, he was the difference maker and deserves the VC. Very nice to see Hauser and DWhite start hitting some shots. Now let's demolish the Lakers!

I've been calling for Springer to play all season, even if it's 5-10 minutes a game, to bring in that energy and defensive preference. Especially when this team takes a lot of nights off on the defensive end for some reason.

We all saw what happened as soon as Springer entered the game. We went to work on the defensive end. Had 4 steals in his first 10 minutes. He was locking down anyone he guarded. That intensity was contagious and his teammates started to also give some effort on the defensive end.

Just hope Joe continues for play Springer going forward, even if it's only about 6 minutes a half, to get some defense and energy inserted into the team that tends to get lazy at times on both ends of the floor.

For a team that spends a lot of time talking about yet really struggles to turn anyone over it's kinda surprising that he hasn't gotten a longer look.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

So hard for Springer, Queta, Walsh and Peterson to when Joe plays a short rotation.. He not as bad as Thibs, but his way to type in his ability to show other players confidence..

Yup, it's common sense. Not saying Joe doesn't have common sense, but Joe loves sticking to the same 8 or 9 guys. The only reason Springer played was because Jrue was out. Joe likes sticking to the same thing. I don't blame him, but I would like him to change things up a little when the same thing has not been working over the past 6 weeks. This team is going through the motions for a month and a half and Joe has made hardly any adjustments other than the past 2 games.

Not funny when lots of people are losing their homes here in CA with all these fires the past few weeks. Another one was started yesterday.

Mate, I live in Australia and my post has absolutely nothing to do with the CA fires.

I feel for the people of CA because it’s horrible.

But to draw my post into the CA fires is pretty unlike you.

Because this team has no leader. or this generation of players are just built different. Just imagine being defending champs and playing like this mid season. What would MJ, Magic, Kobe, Garnett, Pierce would say if this was their team. Heck Giannis and Jokic would be pissed. No leader at all. Not Joe, not JT and JB. I would have thought Horford would be that guy, but i guess young guys would take it differently, so he just chillin. That was an embarrassing win. Almost lost to Coffey, D Jones and Porter jr. ??? Wtf was that. JT and JB should be embarrassed with themselves. They both should have elevated their game after winning it all last year and pressure is off. JT has a lot to prove this season after that embarrasing olympics and missing out on the awards. Yet, he still chucks 3’s thinking he’s steph curry or something. Its clearly not working. The side step step back 3’s ain’t working. If he focus on his efficiency, then everyone will start to take him seriously.

Peterson could be better than Hauser. At least that guy can facilitate, shoot, dribble and attack the basket. Hauser really gives you nothing but 3’s, and some defense, which other guys can do as well. Problem with hauser, if his shooting is off, its really bad. Joe is just stubborn and no creativity at all.
