They act so immature. They have an obnoxious “big brother” “little brother” vibe and I think Drew would be better alongside someone older and less frat boy. But yeah, are broadcasts are pretty terrible. Constant talk of dunk scores and Scals love for Poetl and spilled beer on the sidelines and Pritchard nicknames…

I’m not anti fun…but I am anti obnoxious lol.

over the last few years I've said complimentary things about Scal and Drew individually, but I agree their current trend is downhill -- the Celtics have very smart fans and we don't need it to sound like we're on a booz cruise most of the time.

Obviously the retirement of one of the classiest guys to ever do it was going to lead to a tonal shift. But MSNBC has lots of talent to work with -- including Abi and Eddie -- and I hope the network doesn't just settle on 'R U NOT ENTERTAINED??' as their guiding light for however many years exclusive regional TV broadcasts might remain a thing.

My least favorite thing about all NBA broadcasts is how they refuse to talk about actual plays - sets, actions, etc. Every now and then Scal will let something slip about a brush screen or something and Drew will sweep in and make clear that nobody watching knows what that is. I wish the whole league would level up on that stuff.

god YES please
think about how much better the world would get at watching, coaching, and playing basketball if the professional broadcasters of the professional teams talked about WHAT WAS ACTUALLY GOING ON ON THE COURT (beyond guys making or missing shots and/or beer being spilled)
