The defensive effort and focus totally changed as the second half went along. You can tell right away when these guys are really there to play on D. And it's pretty rarely in the first half.

I also think Yabu and the Sixers carrying on in the first half woke up the sleeping giant. If Philly wasn't so in your face with their excitement the Celtics probably would have just stayed asleep.

So we need a clown to taunt our players for them to play good?
How much does a clown cost?
Can we sign someone?

Nobody else beat +2.

So Tatum, who was arguably our best player tonight, doesn't get anything great Net rating wise, But Kornet does

Play the defense we played in the 4th all game and this was a 30 point blowout and the stay ready crew playing the whole 4th
Playing the starters 40+ minutes against a depleted team is really bad

As I am constantly saying - my criticism derives from the potential I see with this team. No one can beat us in 7. But why get to 7 when you can finish it with 4-5. Too much potential and too many games we play dumb and lifeless

This was Jayson Tatum's best shooting game (FG% or TS%) since he last missed a game in December 23. He had 20 straight games of shooting worse than 57.2% FG% and 66.8% TS% before this. Celtics went 12-8 in that span. 21st in FG% and 12th in TS%.
