Looks like no triple-doubles for our guys.

Not enough time and the Spurs are done.

KP and White combining for 11 turnovers. No bueno. Not a fan of the predictable dumping of the ball to KP unless it’s on the move or early transition.

The way Cs roster is constructed just causes a ton of mismatches. And we’re not even playing Jrue who can back down pretty much anyone and JB who is just a bully now.

Horford doesn’t play about bugs thinking they are that dude against him, he shuts it down!!

Spurs young guys just don’t understand Wemby is 1 and Fox is 2, fall in line. They think it’s a free for all. Fox barely touched it and it was back to back 3s from Vassell and some shots by Castle. They need to establish a pecking order.

My internet doctoring skills kinda hit a wall trying to figure out what the heck an impingement is. A week or two ago Sam had a hip impingement and I looked it up and it said the bones in the hip don't fit together right and are rubbing on each other and causing pain. But now I just looked up Jrue's shoulder impingement and it's about tendons and nerves instead of bones. Shrug.

careful, you might find links to thoracic duct outlet syndrome, which robbed Markelle Fultz of his ability to play basketball and/or almost killed him, before he mostly remembered how to play basketball and/or disappeared from the league.

probably just needs to take some zinc 8-)

These last 2 games shows that we need to establish and enforce a pecking order of our own

JT is super aggressive in the last 2 games where JB didn't play and KP wasn't the screener and moved to the corners and dunker spot. Great offense and defense. Dissects the other team with ease and makes great reads
It should be JT, JB, White, KP and all the rest
In this order

Yes I See that. But we have also lost some of the most dreadful games with those same lineups..

Problem is those lineups have played all the time? And we have nothing to compare it too.
Just using this as an example. What if it was Queta and Walsh Instead of al and luke the last two months.. There is almost no sample to size, so it would be speculation on my part. But I guess my point is. Do we really know Al and cornet are the best lineups compared to some that have not even been used yet.? Joe very, ratey experiments outside of rhe exception of his few minutes here in therer sample size.

And again using data as you suggest. Does that mean our backups of Al And luke with tatum and whomever alre better than our starting five?? Surely, the numbers indicate That as the case, hence my idea That data needs a lot more context. And can certainly be misleading.

No the data says it's worked. I'm not saying anything else other than it's worked and it helped us win. But you kept insisting that it's been bad for whatever reason. And the data is telling us, nope, it's been good for us. I'm not speculating anything else -- whether other single-big configurations would work better, whether double bigs would work against the 1998 Bulls, whether Kornet + Horford would dominate OKC if we meet them in the Finals. It's not predictive. It tells us what happened which you still seem to dispute. For you, double bigs are bad, point blank. They haven't been.

We've won more with those lineups than lost. Like I said, can't win them all. No lineup can.

I have a big comeback.
Epic big. Bigger than what's ever been seen before. So big, I am afraid real g. M will break down.

But it will have to wait until tonight. Because my kid has a freaking game..

Stay tuned, I promise I will not disappoint :D

OK my epic Big comeback has been downsized. I had lined-up many examples of situations where numbers were deceptive because they were ok-good but I thought a change would clearly prove even better "numbers" would result after a change.

Just using one of many I dug up when is Joe kept using Smart over White in close 4th games. Smart and Brogdon did have positive numbers I guess overall, so why change??? Just accept they were often good. so therefor, why make a change. I was the first to proclaim that White deserved the NOD and the chance to be in the 4th quarter over Smart or Brogdon. It takes a while for many to catch up to my ideas. But if we fast forward 2 years later, it became very Obvious that White is by far steadier and more Clutch than the best of Either Brogdon or Smart.

BUT it took Brad Stevens to make that happen. Had nothing happened, Joe undoubtedly would still have Smart in there in Crunch time. Meanwhile early the season and even before anyone would know how inefficient Smart would turn out to be, Memphis started to use a 2nd rd pick with no idea what he might do. Then Memphis even started playing Scotty Pippen jr over Smart.

When last year's youngest NBA player/rookie returned from injury, this year in GG Jackson, he became the final straw for Smart. Some teams are willing to make changes based on Projections without having any Data to work with. Some are not.

I have been quite fortunate to have worked with/for 2 all-time great College Coaches in Jay Wright and Joe Beilein amongst a dozen or so other coaches. I have listened and learned quite a bit from them. How they think, approach a challenge, handle every type of personality, how they make pre-game plans and thus willing to scrap it mid-game and adjust when necessary, as well. I have done a ton of scouting research with the Late/great Tom Konchalski. I have seen my elder Son navigate through the Ups and downs of playing high level BB for the most restrictive "old school coach" and then excel to the surprise of his alma Mater over-seas in England and then in Spain.

I can give countless examples of success and failures. I really wish I can say more. But I have always wished my identity to remain anonymous.

It is at this point, where I am not perfect and will make mistakes, but like an old Dog, it is hard to change my ways and/or thought processes. But I guess when I played and then coached/scouted, we would use a lot more film than analytics. I did retire 10 years ago.

If anyone chooses to like, dislike or even Ignore My opinions, it is Fine by me.

But at this time, all I want, is Victories and Titles for Boston!!!!
There is no prize for coming so close Do something!

The smart ones use both numbers and film and any other tool at their disposal.

I usually ignore your comments for sure, esp the repetitive ones but you replied to one of my posts (which had nothing to do with double big lineups or Joe).
