Pritchard let Brunson go off in the 3rd. Almost single-handedly let Knicks come back in one Q. PP couldn't stay in front of Brunson. They should've tried someone else on him but they stuck with their JT-Sam-PP-Al-Luke bench lineup.

Anyway, Brunson is just a more expensive Pritchard with higher usage and a decent midrange game.

I mean Thibs was just keeping his starters in and trying to keep in the game.

Yep, but also replacing PP with either White or Holiday could've slowed down Brunson a bit. Likely what's going to happen in postseason whenever PP gets hunted. Not much issue with it in a February game.

Joe might be guessing the answer is 'no', but a hot Brunson and a 20 point lead is a great time to give him a shot to prove you wrong.
That informs your playoff decisions.

I agree with you both but this is a code shared by the whole league. You break the code, you're an idiot.

So far what I've seen is guys who break the code getting barked at and maybe a pretty gentle shove. MLB will throw at your head and NHL will fight you. NBA is a primp-and-preen 'hold me back' league.

Off the top of my head the 'violators' I can remember are Zion, Chris Paul, Lance Stephenson -- not at all my favorite players, but **** yeah I'd do it too.

Heck my men's league dribbles out the clock. Who the **** cares? We're sweaty old guys who got up and put on shorts -- let's finish the game.

Guess this settles the debate about JT guarding KAT.

Before the season started, Knicks fans came here and said JT can't defend KAT.

JT being able to defend KAT allows KP to be the secondary/help defender.

That's why Knicks had a hard time scoring when it was KP manning the middle or Al and Luke were in the game.
