Oshae was super valuable as a rebounder, energy guy. He had great net rating metrics with JT because he provided a cutter/finishing option for Tatum to dime up off JT drives, rather than everybody holding the 3PT line.
I have no clue why he opted out of $2.5 million to get no other NBA offers and have to leave the country for less $$$. Boneheaded call by his agent.

Re: Oshae Brissett Appreciation Thread
Oshae Brissett gave valuable change-of-pace minutes last playoffs, filling lanes and creating movement in the halfcourt. He was +12.8 net rating per 100 possessions in the playoffs.
I actually thought we could’ve used Brissett last night against OKC when the 3’s weren’t falling. Anyway, he’s gone now and I hope he gets his NBA career back on track

If Philly's not careful he'll win them some games.

And he winds up watching Lonnie Walker sign an Exibit 10 contract. I'm not sure who to blame more, him, or his agent. By NBA standards he hasn't gotten paid - about $7.5 million in his career. Leaving over $ 2 million on the table was a real gamble and he may never make it back to the NBA.
I hope he does. He's a likeable guy.
So obviously Brissett and/or his agent made a costly mistake for a player who hasn't gotten much career money. He became the keeper out of him, Lamar Stevens and Banton last season. Turning down that guaranteed year was not only a financial mistake, but he also lost his place in line. If anyone takes a flyer on him now, has to work much harder and battle guys already on rosters like Craig, Norris and Scheierman. The fact that his hustle skill is more unique gives him a chance, even an outside chance with the Celtics. But it doesn't seem likely. If I was his agent, I would call Brad Stevens and go mea culpa and it was all on his bad advice and remind them how Brissett has playoff value.
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."
