Uh oh. Bleacher Report has the C's taking a PG in the first round:

31. Boston Celtics (via Wizards): Labaron Philon (Alabama, PG)
Previous Mock Position: No. 34
Size: 6’4″, 177 lbs
Age: 19
Nationality: USA
Pro Comparisons: Kobe Bufkin
Labaron Philon quickly grabbed attention this year with his pacing, control, touch and playmaking.

Scouts are still questioning what there is to love about him. He’s 177 pounds and a limited athlete and shooter. But he’s clever with the dribble to get to spots, and he’s a good passer and decision-maker with statistically one of the best float games (21-of-32) of any draft cycle in recent memory.

Those running touch shots make his weak pull-up shooting less of an issue, though the lack of three-point volume will be seen as worrisome.

Yam Madar led Hapoel Tel Aviv winning the Euro Cup. He played injured the last 2 playoff games but was instrumental in winning the cup
In tonight's win that clinched the trophy and qualification to the Euroleague he has 16 pts and 6 assists shooting 4/4 from 3

At least one of the players we drafted led a team to win something, not like the other stash and G-Leaguers

If Labaron is there I would definitely entertain the idea at #28. If he shows improved shooting in workouts he may not last that long.

Anyway, very young, good length and skills (albeit questionable shooting) and can be a plus defender as he gets stronger. He's not an above the basket player but has a great body control.

A better prospect to develop than Madar, or Davison for that matter, but he's probably a couple years away.
