I wish PP had tonight off too, his legs have looked so tired lately.
Oh well. it was kind of a fun game, at times anyway. Seeing Luke taking some middies and seeing Scheierman cook a little bit, it was no that awful for a 20 pt loss.
Do we have 1 game left in the season or 2? Because I am ready for the playoffs.
And Walsh, Davison, Tillman didnt look great after waiting all year for an opportunity. C'est la vie

I always have to argue for the players that get hate for no real reason, that’s JD tonight. I’m not really in the mood so I’ll just say a couple things. I just came from the hospital, watched a lot of it while there. I have singles.
I will say the team performed worse with the 5 yr vet out there than it did a guy who has been lucky to get around 300 minutes in 3 seasons (maybe more lol)! The offense wasn’t crisp but not bogged down as much as being said, had he hit some wide open shots, it would have been fine. Most of the time when he brought the ball up, he was off ball after getting it across. I didn’t get to see every single minute of the game, but I thought his defense wasn’t bad the times I did catch it.
I had more to say on it, but we’re all going to see what we want to see, it’s not like he’s a regular player, I don’t have to really get into it.
I don’t think we have enough fight most of the night, our best guys didn’t look energized except Korny who is going to go for it no matter what. There wasn’t enough hustle for me. We had one good combination and run, but I don’t remember if we went to it again in the second half.
Orlando is a real team, some of their guys have played enough real minutes together, especially after they have lost so many players/games due to injuries, this margin wasn’t a shock. I still thought we’d win though.

You may have said it perfectly but I've been making this claim for some time now.
I truly believe theG league experience is extremely overrated. I said this a year ago and it seems to be even the stronger case now.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

JB gonna come out firing away, I'm guessing.
If he goes for 40 and/or Pritchard or Hauser hit double-digit 3s -- and/or Scheierman has his first triple double -- maybe we win.
If JD Davison feels like he is in Maine, maybe we do too
OR maybe Jordan Walsh will break his career high of [checks] 10 points but that'd really surprise me
Might be the nastiest shade thrown I’ve ever seen lol
1) I came through and DID watch almost all of this **** show
2) Walsh was a -16 in 9 minutes. And finished [checks] 10 points shy of his career high
3) My Guy Torrey Craig led the team with -19 in 28 minutes, and scored just as many points
Burn the tape, kill it with fire, I'mma go to the postgame thread now and assume we're firing Joe by lunch time;)

less hope but not no hope, yet, in my book
I don't know anything about his work ethic and/or mindset, and the team obviously does, but based on his body and potential I give him one more year
this summer will be big again
he should be in the mindset of needing to make the team again next year
if he's still shown little at the NBA level 12 months from now, then it's time to pull the plug
for that one more year, his salary is worth keeping on as the 14th or 15th guy imo to see if he can pay off a bit

Which is better though, G-league or college? Walsh vs Baylor, these guys are very different ages (Baylor would not have hacked it in the NBA at 20ish).
Of course roster spot management is a different story altogether and I agree to some extent, alternate issue being a lot of 24 year olds who all think they should play.

They should have an ai program for agents and players that tell college players when they should leave college. I'm pretty sure chat gpt would have screamed at Walsh to stay in school. ai can use his information to inform future college players what not to do.

I would take college over G League for sure. But that isn't for everyone. Money does play a factor. But my point is getting actual NBA experience and adjusting to how that player needs to play with his NBA team >>> Do whatever they want in the G-league. Remember Walsh going into his Tatum style act in the summer league? Look how many shots and ball dominant JD is in the G league (MVP!) and how he has no clue up in Boston on what to do. Even Baylor got a massive jolt of confidence and production when he actually played "real minutes" with the starters vs Garbage time. Not a coincidence IMO. You can literally see it from game to game with Rico. Playing time and comfort going together like peanut butter and jelly.

That’s a good point AI is stupid enough that it would inadvertently pick up my genius takes and act on them.
