The Knicks took 9 shots at the rim and 40 free throws last night.
The Celtics took 21 shots at the rim and 26 free throws.
If there was a conspiration to help the Celtics and/or reward the most agressive team, the refs didn't get the memo.

The cigar must go to Cool Hand Luke. Over time, Luke has elevated his game considerably. Last night he demonstrated just how far he has come. What a game!

Game 6 would be perfect.

I say recalibrate:
No more KP vs NYK
Hope he can give you something vs IND
If he can't, pull the plug QUICKLY and hope he can give you something vs. OKC
(yes, you see what I did there:)

Derrick White was a house on fire to start and just kept going the whole game. And my god, Luke with the game of his life. He needs to start the rest of the way, have KP come off the bench.

Celtics showed championship grit today. Celtic Pride, baby.

Brown was great, but he had had better games. The knee still isn't 100%. Dude is a warrior. Amazing game for him on both ends.
People wanted to trade him. This guy was our Finals MVP less than a year ago.

White was great as well.

So was Kornet. Yes, he should start. KP shouldn't come off the bench though. He shouldn't leave the bench.

No doubt he's had other great games (his Game 3 vs the Mavs stands out), but considering that this is win or go home, I'd consider this his best one. His dive for that loose ball ignited our run, and he was simply dishing out dimes all game. He looked like JT out there.

It's just a bummer that his knee isn't 100% so he can't do this every game. He always takes it up a notch in the playoffs.

Jaylen also came out of halftime with the score tied and hit Josh Hart in the balls.
Not even kidding that
1. that's the sort of vet savvy that can put you over the top
and
2. you KNOW JT would never do that. But JB GOT THAT DOG IN HIM

I'm specifically concerned about attempts to get Kornet in foul trouble.

Defensive rebounding also has to improve somehow in Tatum's absence. 2010 Game 7 still haunts me. The team happens to be laden with productive offensive rebounders (Kornet, Pritchard, Holiday, even Porzingis) who don't usually match that at the defensive end. Brown being both gimped and overloaded with other responsibilities doesn't help.

Hauser can be a sneaky competent defensive rebounder. He needs to disregard any ankle pain and corral some balls.

I'm a little leary of Kornet being a higher minutes guy regularly even though I've been among his biggest fans from way back.

He did look so good the other night though he had me thinking he should do a heel turn and just get 'roided and jacked and combine that with his length and savvy and go on a crazy run for a few years.

Might be similar to Hauser in that respect, great bench guy, but might not have the raw physicality to scale up in terms of higher level minutes.

JB is a Players Association VP. So he felt obligated to show Hart a good time.

In the words of the great Rudy T: "Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!"

Then of course they go on to get blown out in Madison Square Garden.

I kid! I kid!

It was remarkable how many of them were there. I like how we play on the road though so it's whatever.

Reminds me of back in the winter of 2013, for Christmas I got my father-in-law flights and tickets to watch the C's play the Knicks as it was a lifelong dream to go to the Garden (even if it was the new one). For whatever reason our 300 section was absolutely flooded with Knicks fans (who were having their way with the C's).

He was an ex-special forces hardass and made it until the 4th and asked to leave and watch it from a bar.

Sort of forgot how awful they are since they were irrelevant for so long.

First of all Brunson plays like a bitch. And i was lmao when he was smiling and waving at the camera. Turd.

Secondly, how about Luke Kornet. I am so so so happy for him, he played the game of his life. Defensively, he was a beast and he didn't make any mistakes not that i can recall on offense. He played the perfect game.

Also, Jaylen. Wow, he lead this team from start to finish and the team followed with Derrick shooting lights out from beyond the arc and everyone else playing with heart and courage. This for me was the best game of the season. If we play like this for the next 2 games the Knicks are done.

KP is washed. Kornet should be our starting C going forward.

Also. i thnk i might hold off on the JB trade talks for a hot minute .

I don't know how this was a foul
Good assessment:
