Good run and everything, but today was pretty pretty bad. Game 5 win was heroic and players had an edge, but today our very intelligent players looked like they didn't know how to play offense, for real.

Credit to the Knicks and Brown always has a 1-on-1 game but as far as having a game plan for last night? I did not see that. What was the plan, Joe?

It's been like this for all his tenure, just one plan, the 3s, no counters. Sure, we're missing our engine in Tatum but come on, we still have a very, very good roster. I refuse to believe Holiday is that bad. I feel he's been too marginalized in offense all year.

Joe's system so strict and limited that our players also behave like robots. Shooting unnatural threes and missing short passes. With such a good roster, you win more often than not but when sh*t hits the fan you've got to have alternatives or you're doomed and that's what's happened to us.

I know Mazzula won't go but I wish he would. Another coaching look at this roster would be so refreshing. The series was lost in G1 & G2.

Go Cs.

With Tatum out next season, it’s not necessarily a lost season, but our coach needs to focus on development give our young guys some run. Have some home grown depth for when Tatum returns.

Yes, but the cupboard is limited. It feels like Scheierman's on track to be part of the rotation next year. If one or more of KP, Al, and Luke don't return, does this front office and coaching staff trust Queta to do likewise? If Jrue goes this summer, maybe JD actually gets a chance?

I don't have much hope left for Walsh. Drew Peterson's hard to picture as anything beyond 13th man, and that leaves .. Miles Norris.

Not a ton of upside to work with there, overall, but I agree that developing them the most you can should be a priority for a 'gap' year.

I'd lose it, too, we've literally blown 2 postseasons and I feel as if he has a huge role in it.
Heck, where's Mike D'Antoni at? I know he's old, but would he like a chill assistant coaching job?

Corey's, we'd miss you
But if Joe isn't the HC next year, Sam Cassell would be, right?
I don't know anything about how the FO or roster feels about these guys, but from the outside that would be the obvious play.

I could carry on about what went wrong tonight but basically we played at a less than ideal level and did not win the big game. Kinda goes for the whole series actually. Unsmileyface emoji!

...
So I had a lot of fun in our quest to repeat this season! I mean, until it all fell apart at the end lol. But our trophy from last year is still all shiny, JT is going to come back strong, I trust Brad and the front office to make the right moves, and I know we've got more fun coming our way. Your Boston Celtics will be back!

And of course it'll be blast riding the rollercoaster with you guys! Thanks for hanging out this season and best wishes to you and your loved ones.

LET'S GO CELTICS!!

props to the bis-ter for all of this
the mechanics of losing this series don't matter, the bigger picture does
the greatest franchise in professional basketball will be back, and not that long from now
so congrats to the Knicks on a well-earned series win, and congrats on making the ECF for the first time in 25 years LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
but we -- the **** BOSTON CELTICS -- will be back and **** better be ready for it
hyped for summer league hoops already let's **** get it

Joe has gotten away with his combative, awkward press conferences because we were winning. You have to wonder when management will start to factor that in when it comes time to extending him

Joe will be here next year. It's the final year of his contract though. Giving him an extension is just where I draw the line.

He hasn't earned it. Let's see what he does without Tatum before we give him another 3 year deal.

But that's not what will happen because teams like to avoid lame duck coaches.

True. Walsh barely turned 21 so I think there is hope. He needs some legit run though.

I see a lot of negativity in your posts. What do you think they should do? Seriously they don’t have. The only guy they could possibly get rid of in this roster is KP.

Don't make walsh sucking about me. I'll own it if the dude figures it out.

Will you own it for supporting him?

Just last night in garbage time he couldn't even find his man to guard on defense.

So I'm too negative for you because I rightfully say that Walsh is a scrub? How's that my problem.

They can't do anything. That's my point bro. You haven't accepted that and that's your problem. There is no fixing this. The NBA is too diluted with teams to ever overcome the talent issues you run into when you don't have the assets and cap to make it happen.

But I promise you, Walsh is not the answer

You can critique his coaching all you want but stooping to petty insults like this is pathetic.

It’s basketball for god sake. It shouldn’t be that big of a deal to resort to personal insults about a guy you’ve never met in your life.

Well said and couldn't agree more.

Not the ending we wanted , C’s kind of fell apart in the end and we have an assistant coach running an Allstar lineup. Not a good combo, will def need some change in the off-season. F breaking it up, we need to reload! Enjoy the off-season all and big thanks to Parl, Bisme and the rest of the crew for being one of the best message boards on this site! Look around the site, half the teams don’t even have posters. Celts pride always on display.

If you’re an adult & this is how you feel you I’d advise to go seek help dude. No adult should be saying these type of things about the coach of their favourite professional sports team.

That’s how this works mate. You vent out your frustrations about the game & then you wake up the next day & move on with your life. Being this petulant a week after is really unhealthy mate.
