Pritchard, Davison
White, Lanier (#32), Walsh
Brown, Scheierman
Hayes-Davis, Tillman, Peterson
Kornet, Queta, Kalkbrenner (#28)

Get a high draft pick, play the young guys (which you will find keepers or trade bait) and then refocus in 2026/2027 with Pritchard, Tatum, Brown, Kornet and White.

Going to be interesting to see what direction Brad Stevens and the Celtics go in next year.

If Al leaves they need to get something for him. Minimum a sign and trade, or if they aren't that competitive and he's resigned, he'd return a nice smaller asset from a real legit contender. Will be a big loss either way but I suppose time's winning this one anyways.

If Al leaves it will likely be via retirement.

This is a sensible approach, and you have them taking the exact two guys I want us to take. I am starting to think Kalkbrenner might not be available when we pick, though.

I think what the way any pick goes depends on the degree of Salary relief and usefulness of the player/s coming back.
As an example, if the Cs take back a guy on a multi year deal, that’s as old/er as Jrue like Klay or DDR then I do t think they owe anything and could see them asking for a pick. If they can get off of 20 million or more in 2026/27 Salary and have a good player come back like Derrick Jones Jr in a Holiday for Bogdan and DJJ scenario then Celtics might owe a pick. I think Holiday is valued higher around the league than he is by fans.

Right the report is pretty ambiguous even if accurate. They could take back a salary that would be worth a pick to dump and give Jrue away, or it could be a true return in value of a first round pick.

That's a spread that would encompass half the league's players or more pretty easily.
