OT- Gilbert's Blog

Gilbert's newest post in his blog (http://my.nba.com/forum.jspa?forumID=400032200&start=0)

He talks about Caron Butlers play against the C's and how he wanted revenge on Paul Pierce from a quote. Also ranks the small forwards in the NBA and puts Caron at 3rd best and Paul at 5th...Good Read

"Caron took the challenge, man. He took the challenge. He had that memory of Paul Pierce which was the fire and extra motivation he needed. You can see how he used it yesterday. I guess Paul Pierce was quoted in the paper last year after Caron made the All-Star game and he said,

No knock on Pierce, but Butler is also one of my favorite players in the league.

In the past he was sort of a 'Pierce Lite', but I think he deserves more recognition as a player. I'd say they are very close in talent at this point. Give Pierce an edge in overall offensive acumen, Butler an edge on defense.

If it was true, that's kind of a jerk thing to say by Pierce. But at the same time, it was true. If Pierce was healthy last year, Butler wouldn't have been on the all-star team. This year, it's different. They both will most likely make the team.

And Gilbert needs to stop with his infatuation with the Celtics and Pierce. Yeah, Pierce hit that game-winner in your eye a couple years ago. Get over it. Stop crying. For you to put Pierce at #5 on the list of small forwards in the game shows just how clueless you are about the game of basketball.

more gilbert thoughts on the celtics

Scouting Pierce

I watched the Hardwood Classics from 2002 and it was the 2002 series between the Nets and the Celtics. I was telling Coach Jordan that the way they played Paul Pierce was that Jason Kidd didn

Gilbert should just stop talking.
The Wizards are a better team without him.
They could actually trade him for some good role players and go somewhere.
