Posey is one of the biggest reasons Miami's not doing well right now. He represents everything the team is missing.
PG- Williams
SG- Wade
SF- Posey
PF- Haslem
C- O'Neal
6- Davis
7- Wright
8- Cook
9- Quinn
10- Blount/Johnson/Zo
Would be at least as good a team as last season IMO. Of course, there's also the injuries, but anyway... Just wanted to boost Poze's value in this thread.

Heat's on pace to lose 23 more games than last year. There's no chance that he's the biggest difference.

Have you actually watched the games or is this conjecture? The team's lost 18 games by 7 points or less this season. 18 heartbreakers. 95% of those games are because the Heat couldn't make threes, couldn't defend the perimeter, couldn't rebound, or a combination of the three during crunchtime.
Don't forget that he played for Miami last season so no disrespect, but I think we have a better idea of how much he would've helped than you guys do.

Unfortunately, I've seen them too much. They have the 3rd worst point differential in the NBA despite their heart breaking losses. Most of that is due to their being the lowest scoring team in the NBA. Posey isn't going to add that much to the Heat offense. He's averaged just over 9 ppg over his career and just over 7 for the last 3 years.
The PERs for Haslem, Mourning, Shaq, Wade and Williams have all declined. In the case of Wade, it's a big drop, and it's significant for both Shaq and Williams. You've had some injuries and your bench is much weaker (Kapono and Jones had better PERS than Posey.)
Bringing back Posey wouldn't make up for all the declines in production.

We are talking about Posey because in our rotation it would be Posey or Gomes. <g> Gomes had a nice game and good for him but we are Celtics fans.. So when someone pines over x player we wonder how they would do if we had him instead.
I like all of Danny's move. I think House is better then West at least for our team. And Posey is an upgrade over Gomes for this team. If we didn't have Pierce then maybe you choose Gomes over Posey..

The Heat are on national TV way more than their record deserves. Probably because they were expected to be much better with Wade this year. What I see as the problems are pretty well summed up by the stats.
Wade is not the player he was before the injury. I wouldn't be surprised if he's better next season.
Shaq and Williams are sliding fairly fast. It is apparent to anyone who's followed Shaq play that he's not the same player he use to be. On top of that, the refs are not giving him the calls he use to get.
Mourning's injured and he's better than half the starters at Center in the NBA.
Haslem hasn't declined or gotten better. He's solid, but no star.
Kapono, Jones and Posey are gone and their replacements aren't very good.
On top of that, your cap situation sucks too.
I don't care about heartbreaking losses. Bad teams have lots of them. The Heat have very big problems and Posey's presence wouldn't make a big difference, never mind 23 games worth.

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. The thing is, I've seen Posey play for the Heat and have seen first hand the impact he's had on the team. I don't expect non-Heat fans to get it, no matter how many nationally televised games they've seen.
I do agree with the rest of the problems you listed though.
