Two Most Intense Moments in KG's Celtic Career
1. During crunch time in that home win against the Houston Rockets, when KG started eating his jersey. He was so intense after that one shot it was truly unbelievable.
2. Tonight, KG comes up with the biggest clutch steal, enduring quite a bit of pain after leaving the game. He was so intense after that it was even more unbelievable.
You have to see it to believe it. He was just screaming out the CELTICS on his jersey.
He did it in front of the NBA scouts too as he left to the locker room. truly a message to the rest of the league. Frightening

what an incredible sequence
after 41 games or so, i can easily say that kevin garnett is the best baksetball player in the nba
you can have lebron, kobe, duncan...take em....give me someone with kg's all-world talent, ungodly desire to win, and ability to make everyone on the court a better player

The only problem is that unlike Kobe and LBJ, he needs someone to get him the ball. And he's not getting the ball enough. He should have eaten the Wolves alive. As Keyshawn said "Give me the damn ball!"

thats ok, thats the dynamic of the different positions in the Nba
its a cheap argument to me because every big man needs someone to get them the ball, and there have been plenty of big men, that have been the best player in the nba during their career

Well it's not a cheap argument because it wasn't really an argument, more me bitching about KG not getting the ball enough. If they get him the ball this rarely, then he doesn't have the opportunity to show he's the best player in the league.

enduring quite a bit of pain?
what was he doing infront of nba scouts, and why was it frightening?

he left the game and came back for the last two minutes, enduring the pain, to get us the win. Without him, we would never have got the three key defensive stops, especially the two on the Wolves inbounding....
He was just storming around the court screaming about the CELTICS... if you saw it, you would kind of know what he was really saying

It was just so intense. and he just kept it up as he walked back to the bench and then the west side of the court (where all the NBA scouts sit). You could see it in the replay too. When he's at the top of the court, you can see Tommy just marveled. and then before he walks back, he screams to the left side/west side of the crowd too, right in front of where the scouts and select media people sit.

lol. where is the video of it?
i saw two nights ago on nba tv daily, during the recaps of the game, the night the c's lost the the dinos - there was this clip about "inside kg's head" and he was talking about what basketball meant to him.
he was describing how he felt about the game, saying on some nights he feels like a man in a field of tall grass, then he puts stretches out his arms like he's flying and tells us that sometimes on court he feels like he's flying!
and on other nights he feels like his hands or feet are in a bucket of cold water and he has to let out a growl ( and he proceeds too! ) his patented kg scream.
he went on to say how much basketball means to him. he ended it by saying basketball is his life, is his life. my friend who just came back from the doctor office was watching it with me and she starts to get teary eyed - she's like thats how i feel about art - i proceed to make fun of her, but she was totally touched by it.
if vince carter had any of that. heck if lebron had that!
apparently people are angry that kg celebrated like that. whatever to them. i like passionate players. the ones who walk through games make me sad.
hopefully both of those clips are up on you tube. i don't think she has stopped crying by the way and she doesn't even follow bball.

Yeah, it was, quite frankly. But it was a genuine expression of his excitement; he's just an emotional guy.

I wonder if KG has ever had a psychiatric evaluation. He views every game as a war and some of the things he does makes him look like a man possessed. Remember that time this year where he rapidly slammed the ball off from his head about 20 consecutive times? As far as basketball players go, he's gotta be the most emotional ever. What do you think his reaction would be if he won a championship?
