Ray Allen's 22 First Half Points kept them in the game,

Paul Pierce totaling 26 points (like Ray Allen) gave the Celtics a chance to win,

and Rajon Rondo's 14 points to go with 12 rebounds,

and James Posey's clutch plays (3 steals, 3 rebounds, when needed, 13 points)

are what sealed the deal.

Got to go with Posey. Really played some nice defense. Hit a couple big 3's and some clutch ft's.

Had to go with Rondo. His affect on the game was pretty clear when he got his fourth fould and came out and the offense just stalled. When Rondo returned, so did the offense.

In late nite postgame comments (after the Spurs beat the Suns)....when talking about the earlier celtic victory, Barkley called Rondo the "little monster"....

"If you're Dallas, you cant let the "little monster" beat you like that!"

He was refering to when Rondo snuck in there and got that huge offensive rebound and the reverse layup.....

Would love to have split my vote for Posey and Rondo. Rondo, while missing a ton of close shots, set the tone by taking it strong to the rim at any and all opportunities. But, as others have pointed out, the defense on Dirk by Posey was probably the deciding factor on who was winning this game with KG out.

Yeah, we need a box of cigars to do any justice to some of these "team wins"....

Last night was just sweet!...beating a top caliber team like Dallas while playing without KG sure puts a feather in our green caps! :)

I don't know if I ever voted in one of these before. But I voted RonDo.

Rondo's defense was fantastic the whole game. He totally stymied the Dallas points. They couldn't get into the offense.

He led all players in rebounds.

He did miss a bunch of easy shots.

He'll be playing in the real allstar game in a few years.

The TNT announcers, when they bothered to interrupt their private conversation and cover the game, were wrong when they said the Celtics are looking for a point guard to get the team through the playoffs. Rondo will do that.

The Celtics are looking for a back up point guard to keep the tempo up when Rondo is out.

It was probably the best game I've been to this year except for maybe the Detroit game but we won this one. Definitely deserves a team cigar award but I'm actually going to go with Leon. He played awesome last night on both ends of the floor including some great D on Dirk when Posey was out of the game to start the 4th. Great win all around though.

No, he called him a "little munchkin."

Rondo must have missed at least 4, maybe 5 layups, which was the final factor in me going with Posey. I kinda wanted to go with Pierce, he scored 24 in the 2nd half!

Yup, that's his new nickname. He called Rajon that at least 3 times...pretty funny.

Barkley's comments about Rondo pissed me off. I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but when he talks about needing an uptempo PG, and goes on about how Stoudamire would start over him...good God. I know the guy's lazy about the work he puts in on "analyzing" teams (see his ignorance about Paul's tenure with the Cs a few weeks ago), but this was ridiculous.

Anyway, I'm voting for Ray. Rondo's numbers were good but he missed a ton of easy shots. Posey's a good bet, but Ray seemed like the only player with a pulse on our team in the first half. If not for him we would have been staring at a double-digit Mavericks lead for a good chunk of the game.

Really tough vote here...moreso than any other game so far. In order, I'd say Ray, Posey, Rondo, and Paul...but you could switch that order around any which way and I wouldn't complain.
