Yes and no. I think both he and Scal got taken out of moth balls for the purposes of showcasing them bit, you can't put guys who don't get mins in a trade. Now Leon is just flat out playing well and Scal reminded Doc about those photos of Doc and the 13 year old girl who swore she was 21.

I am intersted to find out why Avery decided to go small, it seems like a bit of a brainfart to me. I mean we couldn't have matched up if he stayed with his bigs instead he kept going smaller an smaller making Powe more and more of a factor.

Sully:

I don't know about Powe. It seems eveery time he gets a chance he plays as if that 9' 2" reach is for real. He did well last night. He did weel against Oden. He did well last year at center.

On the other hand he and Baby seem redundant. Baby seems to have a lot more skills. One of them is goign to get moved.

powe does well down low due to his great strength...in the orlando game he was able to keep dwight out of the paint while he was trying to back him down. Granted its dwight and he got in a good amount still but that is expected with out no kg. Powe should be a great 4 man off the bench, suprised tho that there was still no big baby in another big game

let me preface this by saying i really like powe, but would you guys do this trade?

leon powe for sergio rodriguez?

both are young players with bright futures in my opinion, but leon's skill set matches big baby's too much at this point. and it wouldnt hurt to have another talented young point guard prospect in case pruitt doesnt work out.

I think the trade should be for draft rights. Powe looks to be a top ten from his draft class. He'll be a seasoned player, a seasoned big. We should get a good first round pick for him. We still have DA drafting and he needs his chips to play with.

That said I love the guy, love his story and don't want to trade him. I believe his 9' 2" reach is legit. I think he is a keeper. You need a big to get in and fight for offensive rebounds. You can't count on your PG over the long term.

i don't understand how Scalabrine gets minutes over him consistently, i can see when the match ups dictate, but powe should be gettin the majority of scals minutes imo

I agree !!!

the first time I seen him I knew he could sniff the ball out.

i saw Powe pass it out a couple times but for the most part he is a bit of a black hole so i agree with that but i don't agree with him being overly foul prone..The guy knows he won't get much chances so when he goes in he gives it his all and wastes the fouls he has..That was his role, doesn't mean he's foul prone..Powe played 36 minutes and got 4 fouls how's that foul prone? Big Baby played 23 minutes and fouled out..Against Detroit in the first game he picked up 3 fouls in about 30 seconds..Big Baby is a lot more foul prone than Powe and I believe Powe is a lot better at boxing out his man than Baby..But Baby is a better at getting offensive boards and finishing under the rim..Powe's solid..Glad we have him and Big Baby to use off the bench on any given night and i liked that i saw Powe's jumper go in..

We need to play Powe more, he's a rebounding beast and he's pretty good on the defensive end. He just had a bad game against Dirk and some calls were just bleh.
