Unfortunately I too thought Scott would help the ballclub but do to injuries he hasn't been used in awhile. I think it is time for Scott to hangitupand allit a career at least in basketball.

What is his injury anyway? I think he is funny as hell and I like what he does whenever he plays, but he isn't doing much to earn his money right now. We can use his height out there sometimes too.

While I agree that it doesn't look good that he's in street clothes most of the time while Planet Pollard airs weekly, but my sense is that Doc would rather have him healthy and ready to go for the playoffs where his style of play would be more effective in a half court game.

I think Pollard is on this team more for behind the scenes and locker room rather than game play

I have little doubt, the Scot Pollard will be ready to go when the playoffs come around. He's good to throw out there 10 minutes a game.

Honestly I'd rather just put Powe out there.

I'm looking forward to his return. As great as Powe has been I think we're gonna need Pollard.

We should honestly sign Paul Shirley aswell. They could make shows together...would be something special!

lol...Pollard's funny.

I also think he's around for the playoffs, and to lighten the atmosphere a little bit, a good locker room guy.

hate to bring back a second page thread, but i have to share my thoughts on scot.

i do think he has something to add to this team on the court, and there have already been a few games where he has. mostly, if you read between the lines in what scot says there is often the suggestion that he is not 100% but could perform more than they ask him to.

when donny marshal says he expects to see pollard contribute in the playoffs, thats basically what i see. our team has, at this point, established a position, and they can afford to let the bench carry them some, and the young guys develop. now dont get me wrong, im not grouping pollard with kg, pp, or ray, but in terms of the vets, he is the highest in mileage, and so the one who can break down most quickly, even if he has some toughness.

danny knows little things matter when youre going for a title, and pollard is the kind of guy who can provide those little things, and as great as powe and davis have been, there may be a point, especially in the playoffs, when those little things might make a greater impact from a seven footer, or the extra height is a dynamic we need against a player who davis/powe arent as athletically troubling for. pollard is great at any aspect of the game, but he isnt really below average either. he knows how to play a little d, how to irritate a fellow big, how to hold down his own role, and hes smarter (way smarter) than it seems at first glance.

that said, i love what he brings to the team in personality intangibles. im sure all the guys love him, and i love his planet pollard spots, they crack me up. for real, "why dont you marry clam chowder" and "endangered zamboni population" have been hilarious.
