Yesterday the media showed the love for Rondo, and today it's the whole Celtics team receiving accolades. Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Kobe Bryant, Byron Scott, Dwyane Wade, and Antawn Jamison al show their admiration for what the vast majority considers the best team in the league.

It is great to see the props....
But I see a lot of these pleasantries as Celtic opponents not wanting to give the coaches anything to put on the locker room wall for motivation.
Everyone can see the the C's are tough and if healthy will present a challenge....no sense having to face a team that is both good and carrying a chip on its shoulder.
Lebron seems to be the only not adopting the "play nice" approach.
Detroit in particular has considerable playoff experience and understands the role of emotion, especially on a KG led team.
The Pistons big back court worries me. If Billups is on his game (and you have to assume he will be) then only TA can potentially play him nose to nose in an extended series. Tony can be inconsistent and if he is on the court then Rondo or Ray Allen is on the bench.

These guys all say good things about most opponents. To conclude anything, you have to read between the lines and believe they're sincere in this case.
That article sure looks like Bulpett went around and said "Hey, what do you think of the Celtics?" or even "What do you think is the best thing about them?" or "What do you think is the reason for their success?"
Bryant and Duncan sure sounded sincere, however, as they reflected on why they got their butts kicked.
(Uh, why was the other longer thread locked?)

We lost to the Wizards twice, but we beat them when their best player was healthy.
The only other team that (sort of) has our number is the Cavs, but KG was out the last loss, and the one before that they beat us in OT at their house.
Everyone else we've given some beat downs to. Very good teams too.
Our top wins off the top of my head:
Spurs
Lakers (at their place)
Detroit (revenge game)
Jazz (at their place)
Magic (revenge game)
Houston
Dallas
Wizards (with gil)
Nuggets
Blazers (when they were hot)
Those are some really good teams/wins. The players on those teams SHOULD give us props, doing otherwise would contradict with what's transpired on the court.
And
In defeat, we've given teams all that they could handle. Have we lost by double digits even once this season? Good ish.

did u see the pre-allster interview with kg? a reporter informed him that players were asked "other than themselves who would you most like to see wina ring" and the majority responded KG. He looked a bit shocked but def humbled to hear that. I love that other players understand KG is who he is.. an intense, loyal player who gives 115% every night.
