Tony Allen. He has shown flashes of talent and could be a good chip, his contract expires after this year, and his position is the most replacable in the NBA. If we could trade him and a first rounder for a really good Center it would be worth it.
However on the flip side he has been a defensive stud and our best slasher on multiple occasions so it would hurt to lose him. If we did it would be key to get a guy maybe like trenton Hassel.
Other than that I would say most players are either too new to the team to be traded (trading away a player in the first year of his contract makes it seem like a mistake) or are too key to the team.
If it an't broke, don't fix it.

The only team I can think of is the Warriors who have a couple of good young big men with potential. If Ainge thought resigning tony Allen would be a problem he could offer him to Golden State for a young big to develop with Clifford Ray and Kevin Garnett.
Even if that player turned out to be as good as Perk it would be worth it, shooting guards are easy to find.
All this being said, I love Tony, even though he can be frusterating some times, and dont want to see him go because two way players are very hard to find.

DA traded Walker, so I'd say no-one. If he got the right offer, everyone is on the table. Some players of course would require offers of such value that it is never going to happen, but Ainge would be available if someone wanted to get rid of Lebron or Yao.

If memory serves:
We can't trade any first-rounders.
We don't have anybody else's high second-rounders.
We don't have any contracts that let us absorb significant salary.
So basically we have no way to significantly upgrade talent via a trade.
Pretty much everybody north of Pruitt is clicking in chemistry.
There just isn't much logic in a mid-season trade.

You can't combine a player with the trade exception. The Celtics trade exception is only $1.0 mill so I wouldn't expect anyone good.

Scal has probably been offered straight up for Chris Duhon & Tyronn Lue and probably been refused.
I figure Scal is gone in June or July.
If the Celtics are lucky enough to sign Kurt Thomas, then Thomas would replace Scal, and probably take Davis' minutes also, making Davis expendable.
Tony Allen won't be traded. He's too valuable defensively, and with his knack for scoring on his good days. He will be around a long time.
I don't think that the Celtics are looking for a backup point guard. I think the Celtics are looking for an insurance point guard who would be behind Eddie House and Tony Allen in the rotation, but ready to step up if House or Rajon Rondo should have an injury. If the Celts can sign an insurance point guard this summer, then Pruitt is expendable.
So my short list of available Celtics is:
Brian Scalabrine (salary dump)
Gabe Pruitt (soon to be replaced by a free agent unless he shows something BIG)
Glenn Davis (if Celtics sign Kurt Thomas this summer, or if the right opportunity to trade up in the draft comes along).
Right now, the only teams obviously under the cap this summer look to be Golden State, Philadelphia and Memphis.
If somehow the Los Angeles Clippers can pull that off (by waiving their right to Shaun Livingston ??), then I wonder if the Celtics could just ship
Scal, Pruitt and Davis to the Clips for no players back, just the top ten protected pick that Minnesota owes the Clips from the Marko Jaric-Sam Cassell trade. Ha Ha, just wishful thinking. Elgin Baylor has done stuff like this every now and then though, in the past 25 years.

If you've Andris Biedrins in mind. I agree. But, I can't see Golden State letting him go after the way he'd developed last season. They signed Webber but he's a very short term addition as a big man. I would trade Tony Allen and Leon Powe or Glen Davis in exchange for Biedrins, if Ainge and the Warriors were in agreement. Both trade scenarios work on the Checker. Patrick O'Bryant is intriguing... However, I feel that Biedrins is further along in his game. Or Ainge could always talk to Seattle about one of their three young centers.

Oh. I thought the trade exception was the full size of Delonte's deal -- i.e., that the trade had worked under the cap without Delonte being included.
If I was wrong, then you're right.

Besides the 3 All Stars and Rondo, Posey is probably the only other guy that isn't an option to be included in the right deal.
That said I don't think the Bobcats are calling offering up Okafur for Perk at the deadline.
I think one thing Boston might get involved in at the deadline is a backscratch deal. As a team obviously looking for solid veteran ball players to get released and in a timely fashion, Ainge may make some kind of odd ball move that will help a team financially so that they will cut a guy loose. As an example use that exception and a 2nd rounder on Quincy Dooby of SAC. I am not saying it is something that will happen but it is just example of the idea take on a quaranteed deal for next year from a team trying to get under the cap.
The one thing that is going to be a little unique about this deadline is that the West is so out of hand and the writing on the wall so clearly in the East that teams are going to put Agents, I mean players first and do right by some guys so that they put their best foot forward this offseason.

Everyone's available for the right price. Of course the price on Pierce and Garnett are so assymetrical that they'll never be moved. And you'd need a "wow" trade to get Rondo.
Beyond that Posey, Pollard, and House we'd be reluctant to move just because it sends a bad message to any players in this upcoming offseason who might be willing to sign with us to play for a contender. When you take less to win a championship with Boston it isn't so you'll end up traded to Milwauke.
Beyond those six anyone is available. Ray has the highest price and it's doubtful anyone is offering us anything that great (in terms of our win now agenda). Pruitt has the lowest price and it's doubtful anyone is offering much for the "next Delonte West."
I see Danny only making a small trade. Maybe taking a risk on someone young and cheap like Kyle Lowry. That said Danny does have Don Nelsonesque impulses that could tempt him to make one trade too many. So you never know he might smell a blockbuster and take a gamble for good or bad.
