RealGM/NBA.com Error

Post#1 » by Moses_Malone95 » Sun Mar 9, 2008 5:12 am

Am I missing something? Both RealGM and NBA.com say that Garnett passed 20,000 points tonight versus the Grizzlies. This isn't true. Currently, he's at 19,993 points...7 off the mark. He needed 23 points to tie, and 24 points to break it. He only got 17; therefore, he's going to eclipse that mark next game. Could somebody correct me if I'm wrong on this?

I think you're looking at some outdated stats; KG had 19,993 points coming into tonight's game. He got 17, so he now stands at 20,010.

If somebody could prove the stats displayed on his profile are outdated, I'll renounce everything I've said in this thread and slink off into the darkness.

Wait until tomorrow morning, and they'll update them.

What other proof do you need, other than NBA.com, Celtics.com, and ESPN all reporting Garnett surpassed 20,000 points? You think they all got it wrong?

Anyway, there's this report from the AP following the game against the Bulls:

Garnett moved seven points short of 20,000 for his career. He would be 32nd player in NBA history to reach the milestone

Link.

You need to rethink your sig too (I don't see how Shaq classifies as a 'ring chaser' with the Heat)

Shaq was a huge part of that Miami title.
Though they only had a 1 year window to win it.

Except that they won it in Shaq's 2nd year with the Heat (05-06).
They lost to the Pistons the year before in 04-05.

So, 2 year window.
Damn
