good game guys....but how in the world did rondo out play chris man, cp3 played lesser minutes than rondo and nly had 4 less points, the same amount of assist, same amount of steals, and 1 less reb. answer this question, did rondo play a clutch 4th quarter to give his team the win.....didn't think so....cp3 for mvp

if you guys didnt win and paul hadnt been uber clutch the last few minutes, it woudve been a bad game for him thats how. im not saying rondo embarrased paul oranything of the sort, and some in this thread are going a bit far with it, but rondo out CP3-ed paul for the majority of the game in terms of being on the floor and controlling the game stats dont tell the whole deal
and rondo was still good in the 4th, obviously you watched so you must have noticed everytime rondo caused your d to collapse around him in the paint no one got open, and rondo only missed one of those nice finishes down low.
but also, calm down no one said rondo is better, and many of us here promote paul over kobe for mvp... cp and kg are in the same category of having the most overall impact on their teams improvement while people fall in love with kobe and lbj's stats

yeah but you have to think this way.. Subtract 2 free throws that he made when the game was out of reach anyway, (24 seconds left, made the score 103-109), subtract the points he scored on cassell and eddie house when rondo wasn't even in the game. Considering rondo's season avg. is about 10 ppg, and him nearly doubling it, should count for something. Why do you think Chris Paul was in foul trouble most of the night? Most of his assists came from David West being WIDE open, and that is KG's fault, not rondos in most cases.

Forget about the troll comment above...
I think you need to look at it from the paradigm of a Celtic fan. We have a big three who play with a young PG and C. We heard through out the pre season, and during the season, that PG was a weakness. We, as Celtic's fans, have thought that Rondo has a chance of being 'special'...alot C's fans have him targeted as an All-Star in years to come.
With that in mind, Rondo had Paul on his heals in the first quarter, got him in fould trouble and sent him to the bench. It was vindication that Rondo has All-Star ability, but this time against a young, MVP candidate. A PG with quickness, who Rondo out quicked on a couple of possessions. For a player/position that was supposed to be a 'weakness' for the C's, Rondo played with (and outplayed for a quarter or two) the league's premiere young PG. Paul showed his greatness at the end, no doubt. And it is definitely and argument who 'outplayed' who...but Rondo was as impressive as a 21 year old PG could be when on the floor with 3 veteran All-Star teammates and against the leagues best PG. So forgive our fans if they tend to overstate...as for me, I was damn impressed with both Paul and Rondo, both have skill and more so, they have a competitive nature.

...Deron Williams is a substantially worse defender than Chris Paul, sorry to burst your bubble...Williams can't stay in front of most PG's on dribble penetration, doesn't fight through picks particularly well, doesn't harass ball-handlers before they are ready to attack him...he is essentially a sieve defensively most of the time...you are using his size as a justification for your viewpoint and not reality...
Deron Willams and Chris Paul are the top young PG's in the league, a company I think Rondo can aspire to reach...but Rondo had a great GAME against Chris Paul, he has yet to produce consistently in his role at a level that would be comparable...he has the ABILITY, but hasn't reached level yet...
I disagree. I like Williams as a defender in the playoffs. But we will see soon enough.
