As we have seen throughout the history of the world, people have a hard time letting go of history and Massachusetts is still home to the yahoos who were burning Irish catholic women at the stake after they traveled an ocean for religious freedom.

The more things change, or at least try, the more they stay the same, just ask Obama.

Women are a beautiful thing to look at clothed, half naked, or in the buff. While I find it disgusting to abuse or subjugate women - objectify not so much, the Wonder Woman principle so to speak. World could certainly use some more naked ladies.

Maybe I'm missing something, but...Please tell me you're not comparing me to a Puritan. I agree with your last paragraph. I just think a fine line is being firmly crossed.

Jenafa is my favorite. She doesn't even try to hide that she is a stripper. Just the spelling of the name is whyI think that.

16 championships without the dance squid. 0 with it flailing around spasmodically during timeouts.

They add nothing, and they take away the class that Celtics basketball used to have over terrible people like the Lakers.

Why turn a basketball game into some Patrick Ewing endorsed entertainment venue.

The front rows of the real Boston Garden used to be for the great fans, wearing green and cheering on their team, now the crowd is dirty, old men who don't even watch the game and have to be woken up during timeouts by loud hop and hip music and performances that are also choreographed from the MTV and BET music videos.

You should go to a basketball game to see basketball, not that the shameful owners care as they will happily take in the $$$.

It's not the dancers, it's the over-sized and baggy shorts I tells ya! The Celtics shall remain cursed as long as they keep on wearing those abominations.

I can't stand the dancers either, but not for the reasons others cite. I can't stand them because half of them CAN'T DANCE! When I saw them on opening day, I was watching with my mouth open. I couldn't believe that some of them are not that great of dancers, the dance steps SUCK (who the heck is the choreographer of this crap? :x ) and the music they dance to is pretty lame. Just awful all around.

The young kids that sometimes do their little dance routines, have better music, better dance steps and they can dance too. I'd rather watch the kids than those lame dancers.

It's going to take them a while before they get close to the Knicks or Lakers in this department. In all likelyhood they will never get that close.

Some reasons..

1) I don't think the NE area is full of talented dancers..compared to other cities like LA or NYC.

2) I think the population pool they draw from is likely smaller - thus

3) They lack the "tradition" factor (and of course that's what upsetting people) and thus it's a less presitigous job..

I don't mind em. Id rather watch mediocre dancing then listen to bad singing.

Pete
