i can see him laying his vengence upon the hawks soul, but anyway good luck in the playoffs. we'll be happy to see the show but i'd be surprised if you aren't the champs.

With a Two game lead on the Hawks I dont see Toronto falling to 8 and with Hawks 3 up on Indy, I think it is a given we will play the Hawks.

And with that I say - Don't underestimate the Hawks. It's about time they're youth developed into a playoff team and the wing tandem of Smith and JJ is a very complex one to defend. I do believe that March Madness experience - which is something most of their team has - can play a role in preparing you for the NBA playoffs. This team has been getting better all season especially since acquiring Bibby (must be nice to say that Bibby is just your 4th best player) and will only get better next year. Woodson will likely be coaching this series with his job on the line.

Do I think the Hawks have a real shot at winning this series? Well, no. But it should be much closely contested than some people seem to think. Even if its a sweep, we are going to have to work for those 4 wins not run away with 4 games against the 8 seed.
I despise fans that cheer on a team from up north or one that resembles a dinosaur. oh wait...

Dude, they will finish the season well below .500...a playoff team? Only in the **** lower reaches of the East!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Hahaha...nice.

Hopefully we can catch up to TOR and face DET instead, though I don't think our prospects would improve too much there either.

Anyway, I agree with the first post. Hawks take a game...maybe 2 if they're playing their best.

Good luck Boston, I would be ecstatic if we could somehow squeek 2 wins, but I doubt it. We're just too young, we only have 2 players playing in their primes.

Regardless, it will be a fun series, I'm just happy to get back to the playoffs. After we lose the series, I'll be rooting for y'all to win it all, I really like your team.

4-0
Really if it isn't a sweep, we'll need to get concerned.

The whole point of my post was Don't underestimate the Hawks. Clearly you are. They are not going to beat us but they will be a force to reckon with for years to come.

Anything can happen in the playoffs, If the hawks do happen to upset Boston, people will start complaining about the hawks "cheating".

Even though I really doubt the hawks will win.

Look at your pats, see how everybody crowned them as SB champs? See how bad they choked? Reason why I said anything can happen in playoffs/championship...Either way, the west will win it again this year.

The Hawks are a team that is know for honesty above all other things. They would never be accused of cheating.

Despite rumors to the contrary, the Patriots loss in the Superbowl actually has no bearing on the NBA championship.

The team from the West will not beat the Celtics. They will be defeated soundly.

I got the Boston Celtics Adidas shoe last year when you guys were the worst in the league.

I knew something special was going to happen. Oh boy was I right. (I thought you'd get Oden or Durant, but this is just as good)

Green fever baby!

Celtics in 4.

... possibly 5 due to referee preferences. :P

If David Stern is truly honest about being happy the C's are great again (and I have my doubts based on how the league has treated the C's the last 20 yrs or so) then the refs will not give games away to our opponents!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Anyone still worried about Atlanta after last night? Their starters couldn't even beat our bench. They let our 38 year old backup point guard take over the game and beat them. 8)

Thanks, the Hawks have got some classy fans. They deserve to have their team finally back in the playoffs.

Big difference is that the NBA playoffs have 7 game series. The Pats could probably beat the Giants at least 75% of the time.

You look very confident... If an eastern conference team wins it all, will you come back to this thread and say "I'm not an idiot, I was just trolling"?
